Packaging and build quality are excellent. Installation instructions wrong. The best thing you can do is study the alligator before fixing it. Be creative and protect your steering wheel. JD's disassembly was worse than bad instructions. Everything literally fell into place after the JD footage was removed. Highly recommended. Installation took about 2 hours, JD parts removal took about 3 hours.

The only thing that bothered me was that the upper axle where the steering wheel is attached was painted. The paint is thick enough not to go through the headsets without removing them. The rest of the installation went fine. I put some anti-seize compound on the steering wheel splines so it should be a lot easier if I ever have to take it off again.

Really makes for a very comfortable all day ride. Doing U-turns and multi-point turns is now very easy. The best installation advice is to install everything with loose screws as you will need to adjust each part before you can tighten the screws. The instructions aren't great, but watching videos on You Tube helped me figure out how everything should fit. For the steering wheel I used an 8" double jaw puller, hit it with a 4 pound hammer and popped right out. Otherwise you could overtighten…

I found the power steering kit missing for 3 reasons and returned it. First, the supplied two-piece steering shaft would not fit smoothly through the original hole in the steel firewall unless the hole in the firewall was enlarged. Second, for safety reasons, the steering shafts supplied were unable to keep them absolutely locked where they couldn't slip, in the steering motor, between the two parts of the steering shaft and where they attached to the steering rack. The overall performance of the kit is of great importance. I installed this on a 2012 JD 825i for my parents. I'm very mechanical by nature and have the right tools to get the job done. Installed on a 2018 HPX615e - Total install time was approximately 4 hours. As others have pointed out, the instructions are not very good. My main complaint was that I had to trim the firewall a bit - otherwise the steering shaft would be slapped. From some research this seems to be quite common.
