Nice and safe on 3D printing consumables

Beautiful and durable. I was able to print this on the Lulzbot Taz 5 with a little tweaking. The parts wanted to warp but printed well with fairly large margins. And most had delamination, but I fixed that by raising the temperature about 10 degrees above the bridge's default Lulzbot profile to Taulman's recommended temperature. The parts are really strong, a bit flexible.

Pros
  • Fits better on the print bed.
Cons
  • No instructions

Great item once you figure out how to get it stuck to your bed.

This is a great material, I'm printing some thin walled parts that need strength and the PLA I used previously was brittle. I could use ABS but since my hot end can get hot enough for nylon I decided to give it a try. Super durable and looks great. I had trouble sticking it to my bed which is PEI, tried different things with different glues and couldn't get it to stick while getting curled edges the whole time. Blue painter's tape was fine for small parts, but for larger parts it just peeled…

Pros
  • Reduced water absorption due to local humidity
Cons
  • old

I've used a few reels of these on my Lulzbot Mini and have two caveats: 1) Don't remove the mesh! This is not packaging material. If you remove it, the filament will do its best to detach from the spool and get stuck. It says so on the Taulman website but NOT on the box. 2) This material left a mark on my extruder that prevented it from making electrical contact with the base assembly during auto-leveling. This in turn led to miscalibration, causing the extruder die to scratch the layer. Clean…
