I wish they had made it clear that you do NOT need to remove the 4 mounting screws from the base to attach the cable. You can replace the cable by removing the 2 bottom screws.

Works well. The instructions say to install the cable, unscrew the toilet and turn it upside down. But I was able to install it on the toilet without unscrewing it.

The cable worked great. What I really appreciate is being able to pick it up at Revain and have it delivered 2 days later to the RV park where we were on vacation. Life can be a bit difficult without a working toilet :-)

I wouldn't give you a star but I had to leave a comment. This package was missing several important parts so my toilet is sitting on the bathroom floor waiting for the parts to arrive. There is no water in my house right now because the water is shut off to work in the toilet. The person on the phone said it would take 2 days for me to get the parts. Unsatisfied!

Please note when purchasing this kit that it is unlikely to work as the cable jacket is damaged. You can't tell if the case is damaged until you try to insert a replacement cable. A broken cable is probably a good sign that sheath damage has occurred, and even if you can install the cable, it's likely to fail again. The 34106 kit includes both cable and sheath, but installation requires more effort as the shell and base must be disassembled for installation.

When my toilet broke I noticed a ball attached to the end of the cord. The ball was on the pedal. In the original part, two balls were attached to the cable. One on top next to the hose package and one near the pedal. Mine is broken at the top. When you order this item you will find that there is only ONE ball attached to it.
