Throttle body is mounted on the intake pipe between the air flow meter and the engine, and its function is similar to the throttle of the carburetor. The throttle body is linked with the driver's accelerator pedal to control the opening of the throttle valve to change the area of the intake passage, thereby achieving the purpose of controlling the intake air amount and controlling the operating conditions of the engine. The throttle body is very important for the engine. The throttle body regulates the proper volume of airflow into the engine which is essential to the mixture of fuel and air in the engine. If you are experiencing engine stalling, failing to start, electronic throttle warning light came on, hesitation or power surging on acceleration on your VW cars then you may have a problem with your vehicle's throttle body. Worked great. - Fuel system

For a very cheap part, it worked straight away and required no calibration. He removed my codes and everything is fine without having to buy a $500 OEM TB installed in 15 minutes reusing the old gasket which was still perfect.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons

Works well, easy to install, no wallet required

I was surprised at how cheap this part was, I carefully compared it to my faulty throttle body and the differences were negligible, it was easy enough to replace. To make the installation even easier I disconnected the battery and when I was done I just reconnected the battery and reset the check engine light, of course everything works fine and the machine runs smoothly. I will update this review if anything goes wrong.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Almost Perfect!: Fuel Injection

The ONLY thing that is (probably) wrong is that the connector does not allow the connector (coming from the wiring harness) to seat enough to 'click'. I've got a solution. That being said, my EPC light went out, but you will need a scanner or a dealer to turn off the "Check Engine" light. I've driven about 20 miles and the CEL is still there but we exited EPC and Emergency Mode. Great price for a surprisingly simple solution! Took me about 30 minutes.

Fixing my problem with 2008 2.5L VW Beetle

My VW Beetle had the check engine light on, EPC light and traction control off due to code P1022 (throttle/pedal position sensor A, low voltage input). . Since the throttle position sensor is built into the throttle body, the entire throttle body had to be replaced. Instead of spending over $200 at your local auto shop or $500 on an OEM, this one fits perfectly and performs like an OEM. Replacing the throttle body was easy and only took 30 minutes or less. I had to remove some of the air hoses,

No Spacer and Beware of the Learning Cycle

I was surprised that no spacer was included and spent time trying to find one. It turned out that the old one was still good after 155,000 miles, but the new one was not needed. Vehicle: 2013 VW Jetta SE 2.5L L5 cylinder. Then the car started to rough, the transmission started to shift abruptly, and the "Check Engine" light stayed on. It then went into emergency mode, AutoZone reading OBD codes PO122 and PO638 at 15mph. First I replaced the gas pedal but the symptoms are the same. Then I…
