Not mini anymore. in Sport

The last time I ordered this product it was much smaller and lighter. This product is almost twice the size and over 50% heavier than before. I wouldn't consider this tool as a mini tool anymore. The attached picture is of the last one I ordered and this one is new. This tool works well but I'm disappointed in its size.

Great little tool for small projects on the go

It's small enough to easily fit in a travel backpack or even your pocket, but it packs a lot of useful tools. I originally bought this to carry in my bike bag but have since traveled with it because it's so easy to throw in my backpack. I haven't had any issues with it so far, it worked for everything I needed.

Good quality for sports

Good quality good design. Obviously it's small and doesn't have all the tools you need, but you know that when you buy it. This is the best bike multi tool for fat people. Living in a very hilly suburb outside of San Francisco, I can't leave home without doing an epic mountain climb. This is the bike tool you need when every gram counts.

Pros
  • Easy to use

  • Something different

almost perfect but make sure you don't need a 2.5mm hex

I have this AND it's a Topeak Mini 9. The only difference between them is that it's a bit smaller, 19 g lighter and not enough is hex for 2.5mm and 8mm. I hate the 8mm hex on 9 because it falls off and I never use it for anything. The difference is only about 10 g. For that 10g and small size you get 2.5mm which is used for some small things like bike bells etc. Bottom line, if you need a 2.5 (or 8) get the Topeak Mini 9, it's awesome. If you don't have one, get this one, which is slightly…

Great but not as good as Mini 9

Having bought many multi tools from Revain I have come to the conclusion that Topeak makes the best multi tool yet. They are rock solid. The Mini 6 is a little tricky, mainly because the only difference between it and the Mini 9 (aside from the obvious three extra tools on the 9) is size. I even hesitate to comment on the size difference. Check out my photos. You probably shave 2-4 mm maximum. That's all. The weight of both tools is almost identical. I didn't weigh them on a gram scale but just

Great tool but not corrosion resistant

If you need to use a multi tool when traveling, you won't enjoy the drive. Thus, no tool will make the event more enjoyable. The Topeak Mini 6 is great for what it is: light, small and with all the tools you need. Sure, it doesn't have tire levers or a chain tool, but the latter is really unnecessary. (I've never needed a chain tool on the road, so I don't see a need to carry a larger, heavier tool to have something I won't be using.) Smaller tools typically use metal tire levers. This will…

Thoughtfully made and of high quality

Tried not to buy this. I figured it would be just as easy to carry a bunch of loose allen wrenches around in my backpack. But I just couldn't resist the new shine and I'm glad I didn't. You know that little, subtle joy in things that are really well done? This is how I feel when I hold this. It has all the sizes I need and none that I don't have (yes, there is no chain tool. I don't ride that much and actually don't know how to repair the chain myself (yet). I've tested this by adjusting my…

Really liked - a guarantee?

I love this little thing. Pack a bag for traces. Adding several mini versions of shop tools. That seems to fit the bill. The weight is 73 grams. For comparison, my larger Husky set weighs 131 grams. It's also about half the size. See comparison image. The build quality seems to be very good. Even better than some of my "big brand" hand tools. I only care about the guarantee. Every hand tool I buy comes with a lifetime guarantee. Even Harbor Freight offers it. Most of the time no questions are…
