Bad device. for modems

The modem could not connect to my ISP even after 45 minutes of troubleshooting by them. I am returning the item and ordering another (new) one from Arris. By the way, this is the same modem that I rented from the provider.

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • Uncertain

Works with Cox in the Arizona market

Just wanted to cut ties with the cable TV rental companies and pick this guy up. It has been working very well for quite some time and is compatible with my cable provider. Very happy with the quality of the updated listing on this one. Hope everyone else has the same experience as me.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Factor set

Disconnects and can't get full speed

I'm having trouble disconnecting and can't get full 940Mbps yet. Worked with my ISP support but they say the signal looks good. The title says "refurbished" which seems to mean "used/refurbished" but I didn't get it. I will order a new one and send it back.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Used, not refurbished, incorrect parts included.

The product has been used, not updated. I paid a little more thinking I would get something better than a regular used one. It came with the wrong power supply. The one that should be activated is 12VDC 2Amp. He had Direct TV 12VDC 1.5Amp. I got Spectrum to activate it. The downstream indicator turned blue, indicating that it is connected to D 3.1. I'm not sure why a review says it's not a 3.1 modem. I have a rate of 440/21 when paying for 400/20.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • So-so

sketch repair. Unit -- So far so good

Product as advertised. It took several reboots to display the modem activation webpage in Cox's Garden. Downlink is enabled on 3.1 DOCSIS as expected, uplink supports 3.0 for some reason but I don't care and the problem probably isn't with the modem itself. I bought this unit because an upgrade to Cox Gigablast Internet (requires DOCSIS 3.1) was cheaper than the current Internet/TV "package" we currently have. The reason for the 3 stars is the recommendation. The quality of these devices is…

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Used but working

This is definitely a "used" unit with wear and tear all over the body. It also doesn't have the colored back that the CM8200 usually has, but is all metal (whatever, but that was pretty odd). Generally I cannot find this product on a regular basis and both Revain and Newegg only sell them as refurbished. Good. The weird thing is that a) it comes with a DirectTV power supply rated at 1.5 amps at 12v while the modem shows 2.0 amps at 12v while the modem is stable. Still weird. b) It has some very
