Although very heavy, the product was very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition (I've had similar items with large dents/tears in the packaging due to the weight). There were no problems with this transformer. I mainly use it for kitchen appliances and prefer not to have anything plugged in 24/7. I just plug it in to use and unplug it when I'm done. I believe it also prolongs the life of the device. A USB output is a nice bonus. The handles are easy to move and make it very portable.

I live in Italy (230V 50Hz). I have a lot of 120V appliances from the USA. I have two transformers and need another one for the kitchen. This product is much lighter than the two I have already received which is a plus. However, when I try to activate it, it doesn't work. I'm testing the same outlet with another transformer I have and it works fine. The fuse is good. No notification of physical damage. I will send it back and ask for a replacement. Will be updated. Let's hope this is a one-time

This is an autotransformer. Because the transformer only has three leads, it does not provide isolation. If you use it to boost the voltage, the output will be 230 volts from neutral or ground. Twice as much as usual. I plan to use it with a generator to power my well pump during a power outage so insulation won't be an issue. It's a bit bigger than I'd like but given the power it can handle I can handle this thing sitting on the kitchen floor. I have already used it with all my 220v appliances and they all work perfectly. I used my Panasonic rice cooker and the rice was cooked in 50 minutes with no problems. I've used it with a kettle and a toaster and they both got the job just as well as before.
