Bought to replace the rear door stays on my 2004 Chevy Tahoe and they work great. As other Tahoe users have pointed out, these bars are slightly longer (about 1/2 inch I would say). Just lift the tailgate a little higher to pick it up and you should be fine. The door opens quite well on its own. fast and slows down a bit towards the end. That suits me quite well, since the previous supports did not come up by themselves. I will update this review if there are any issues but so far so good.

These jacks are easy to install, inexpensive and work very well on my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. The first task is to remove the old ones. There is a small metal clip at each end of the lifter. Using a small screwdriver, pry this clip up and loosen it from the ball head. Then make sure the tailgate is fully open (ask a friend to hold it so you have both hands free to move the lift).
