Smooth Cut: Power & Hand Tools

I have a window screen and frame repair business so I need a blade to cut aluminum frames clean. I saw this blade and decided to give it a try. I was a bit skeptical because of the price but when I used the blade I couldn't believe how smooth it cuts and I've probably made about a thousand cuts now and it still cuts very cleanly. I'm definitely ordering more. Thank you thank you and thank you.

Ideal for metal. Not for beveling wood

Cuts aluminum and copper like butter. the tree also cuts, of course. Cuts straight in metal, but unfortunately it cuts a little crooked in wood for some reason, especially at an angle. The miter saw cut perfectly before I put this blade on. So I have to assume that this blade doesn't want to cut wood at an angle. I was hoping this might be my only blade, but I think I'll have to change it.

Super happy with my new blade

Whilst I can't comment on durability yet as I haven't had it that long I will say I don't see why this should be an issue. The package arrived quickly and in excellent condition. The blade is well packaged and I continue to keep it in the box it came in. I used it to cut 18 gauge to 14 gauge aluminum conduit. He cut them like butter. As far as I can tell, that's very true and I'm completely satisfied.

The fuss about the rating is not justified

Blade for cutting plastic purchased when sharpening the more expensive TCG.1 blade. This blade is light, which means the thickness is thick if the blank is not full size or heavy.2. The blade has been roughly sharpened3. The blade didn't spin well on my table saw, meaning the blade isn't balanced properly. I have a hard time believing that this blade is a long term investment. Plastic on a table saw or lightweight aluminum on a cutoff saw. The saw blade has a positive rake angle, so it is not…

Clean cuts. mostly mechanical and hand tools

I used this to cut an aluminum table top (Schluter Rondec) on a cut off saw. Most cuts were smooth and clean. A couple of times the material snagged and flew away. That was probably due to my technique, because I had never cut metal like this before. After that I cut very slowly with no further problems. The blade appears to be of good quality and comes in nice packaging. I can't comment on durability as I haven't used it that often. I also made a few cuts in the wood while I had the blade…

Great quality durable blade at a great price

I decided to replace the deck myself so I made the original purchase to cut the William aluminum rail to size. This was my first project of this kind and I am very happy with the result. The cuts were clean enough that no additional sanding of the surface was required, even with the first cut I made as if it were wood. The pictures show my first draft and the final look. I'm just a novice homeowner who decided to roll up my sleeves and save some money by not paying for shoddy work. This blade…

Bought 2 of these to cut 80/20 aluminum and it was a mistake

The first blade broke my teeth and I didn't know it until the end of the day. The second blade broke the teeth and tore through the DeWalt saw's rubber boot. Miraculously, two blades didn't hurt me. They're cheap for some reason and I'm glad the shards didn't go through my face or body. It may have been a bad batch BUT I will not risk my life on Twin Town Blades again. I immediately ordered a Freud Diablo 12" disc and paid double, but the disc has been working fine since July, 4 months. I was…

Clean, burr-free cuts, cut after cut after cut!

I purchased this saw blade specifically for cutting aluminum railings and balustrades for our porch and patio. All railings are 1/8" thick aluminum and the cuts need to be clean and precise for a good fit. Rather than using a standard carbide blade to cut wood, I followed the recommendation to use a blade whose teeth were at least vertical and even slightly backwards. The teeth on this blade are -5 degrees angled and are just perfect for making clean cuts after a few hundred cuts there are still

Easily cuts heavy aluminum shower doors

I purchased a Kohler Levity shower door a few years ago and finally installed it in my new shower room last month. I should also mention that this Levity door is a 59" x 74" 3/8" thick version that sells for over $1,000. Each of the glass doors hanging upside down weighs around 60-70 pounds to wear both fully. all around the soul. This headboard is a piece of very strong aluminum and needs to be cut very precisely to fit the available floor space. I knew there was no real hope of making it that
