Sturdy, well made, separates large chunks

As mentioned here this is mostly good for separating large chunks and doesn't really scrape off the thin layer of carbon that can build up on the grates. I ended up buying a nylon cleaning brush at the grocery store to use when the grill is cold. I really wish it was a little smaller so I can store it better under a lid. I have a Weber Q2200 and like to keep it covered when not in use, but it doesn't quite fit. That thing is too long, I think I could use it as a pizza peel!

Works great and easily with outdoor cooking tools and accessories

I'm tired of using wire brushes as they wear out quickly and leave traces of metal fibres. I've seen it and tried it. Works just as described. It comes with a flat edge so you can customize it to fit your grill perfectly. Simply heat the grill as hot as you can (which I usually do before grilling), then press down firmly and scrape over the grill. It ends up burning grooves that match your grill. Have used it several times and it cleans the grill. It wears out a bit with each use, but I imagine

It works on flat type cast iron grids.

I have cast iron grates and was concerned they would not work as the grates are flat rather than round. But it works great! I like that it cleans without fear of the metal bristles falling out. It's not all cleaning tools. You'll have to scrub the grill with something more abrasive to really clean it. It just helps with the cleanup between picking and laying down new meat.
