Easy and inexpensive

This was a very quick and inexpensive repair for our oven. The oven heated up to the set temperature, but the frequency of heating up to this temperature was far away (10-15 minutes) and dropped by 50-80 degrees, leaving our food undercooked even at almost double the time. I bought it because it was cheap compared to the only other device that controls temperature which is the motherboard or buying a new oven. I replaced this and the oven held the temperature more frequently (within 5-10…

Works well (as long as it works as expected)

Easy to replace part and this non-OEM replacement is a perfect fit. Our oven temp got too high and the replacement probe fixed the observed problem, but I bought it back in February 2019 and now the problem is back due to a faulty replacement probe from Blue Stars. It's not an expensive part but considering the OEM sensor lasted 8 years and this one lasted less than 12 months I have to give a negative review. I would recommend trying another vendor or replacing the sensor again in the near…

Fixed my oven! for parts and accessories

My 7 year old Maytag suddenly decided not to keep the temperature while reversing. Tripping the thermostat showed the oven was about 100 degrees cooler than what the display showed. After eliminating the faulty items, this sensor was my next logical step. After confirming the model number, I ordered on Friday afternoon and received it on Saturday afternoon thanks to Prime. The exchange was very easy and pretty easy to install. After checking the temperature, it turned out that was the problem…

Test your sensor with meter

This is my second review. I'm not sure what happened to the first one I posted. I fired up the stove as soon as my wife installed the probe and I've had no problems with the stove since installing it. Before the advent of the sensor, bread or cakes would not brown on top or bottom, depending on which way the grate was placed. There will also be streaks on the cake if it hasn't risen all the way. The loaves of bread did not rise well. (This description is written for sober men/women who think…

If the heat isn't rising properly, it's the sensor.

Well, Tom, you do know that my oven is a Kitchenaid four-burner induction hob that I bought in New York in 2012. There was no installation, we just connected it to the network and installed it. There are no buttons. That's all. When the heating didn't get to the right level, we contacted the official dealer and found out what to do. We removed the rear, pulled out the defective sensor and replaced it with a new one ourselves. The calibration is correct. Since then I've been on the third stove…

Worked well for a while but never quite right!

Instead of testing my original sensor at this price point and the possibility that my old one wouldn't work, I just took this one for testing. behind and under the stove - YUK! It makes me feel a lot healthier! :-) Less good but still good: the oven seems to take a long time to reach the temperature (25 minutes to heat up to 350) and I had to calibrate my oven to "+30" to be exact ( with an oven thermometer). ). It's not the probe's fault as the gas stays on until it reaches temperature - it…

Don't let the handyman fool you, buy this DIY part for a lot less!

We called the mechanic and he charged us $80 to replace the oven sensor. However, this sensor from Bluestars was significantly more economical and, after some effort, fully operational. Removed the back panels of the oven and unscrewed the old sensor and it basically acted as a plug in play device. In a few minutes he was ready to go. After installing this new sensor we had no errors and the sensor itself appears to be lighter than the original part that came with the oven. The cable itself…
