I bought two of these. I took the first stool I bought to work. While waiting for the second one to arrive, I had to use my office chair at home. Wow what's the difference. Now I hate sitting in my office chair. I don't get tired with a stool and a small area is ideal.

I was very happy with this purchase and then a month later it fell apart. The wobbly part works, but it wobbles too much so the fake metal screws came loose from the seat. The screw areas have been cleaned and the problem may be in the box. Bad technique. There is nothing to catch wrong cogs. So over time it wears out and can no longer hold the screws. In this case, the upper part of the chair seat is not secured. The bottom half of the chair is fine. Pillow included. If there were a better way

I am 5ft 7in and 187lbs. I spend about 8 hours a day, at about 2 hour intervals, sitting at my desk. This is a good compact chair. I have no experience with other rocking chairs so I can't say how they compare to other types. I've only had this stool a few days so can update this review after using it a few times.
