My irrigation system, like many others, has a supply from home via a reverser and on to the irrigation zones in the yard. This creates a variable shape that the "sock" design doesn't do well to hide. This design requires some lacing, zippers or Velcro to accommodate these directional/shape changes. That makes it 5. We bought a Counterflow 30 "X30" and we are definitely satisfied with the product! The product arrived on time and was carefully packaged. Super easy to "install" and the velcro fits well. We usually remove the backflow in winter to prevent freezing/damaging the pipes, but this is a much better option! FYI - we don't have severe winters (no real snow and temperatures averaging 40 degrees) but we do experience occasional frosts and temperature swings (high 20's, low 30's) during the winter…

I bought this check valve cover because it has a strong cover. Other valve covers in my area with plastic covers are not durable. The lid I bought is 36 inches long and 24 inches high. Actually I needed about 32"x12" but I couldn't find any ready made ones. I folded the bottom edge into the case and attached strong velcro to the "new" bottom. I purchased this backflow prevention cover to replace the Rainbird cover that came with my sprinkler system 15 years ago. I wish I could have replaced the old version with a newer one, but I couldn't even find it on the Rainbird website. This cap is a few inches longer than the check valve assembly, but it came closest to the required height. Insurance came quicker than expected. I splashed the insulating coating with some water and it cracked immediately. The material seems strong and durable and I think it will protect my downcomers perfectly. UPDATE - 10/5/19 I'm impressed.
