Description of πŸ”§ 14mm Straight Shank Drill Cutting Tools from Uxcell

High Speed Steel tool - 14mm cutting diameter. Good for most general purpose applications, featuring a combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance. Reduced Shank - Expanding the size range capacity of a portable drill chuck. Common flute and overall length for minimal adjustment during tool changes. Black Oxide Finish - Black oxide treatment adds lubricity. Small pockets on the surface of the tool that act to hold coolant near the cutting edge. Wide Application - Design for drilling in low and medium tensile strength materials, such aluminum, iron, copper, brass and metal. Please Note: To make clean and precise holes, water is required for lubrication and cooling when drilling metals. Increased use of water lubrication will extend drill bit life.

Not 18mm! - Drill Parts and Accessories

I needed an 18mm bit for a precision adapter. After drilling, I found that it was an 11/16 bit (almost 17mm but not quite).

Pros
  • Reduced Shank - Extending the size range of portable drill chucks. Standard groove and overall length for minimal tool change adjustment
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Not very durable. in drill bit

Managed to drill a hole in a 1/4 inch steel plate and then got bored to drill another. Again, this started with a 12mm pilot hole.

Pros
  • Please note that drilling metals requires water for lubrication and cooling in order to make clean and accurate holes. More frequent use of water lubrication will extend the life of the drill bit
Cons
  • Skimpy Instructions

Good quality, smooth shank

and 14mm drill bits from the same company/seller. I used them to expand from 1/2 inch until I was the right size for my application, so I can't comment on penetration. , soft and carbon-rich medium character. The only thing I don't like is that the shank that attaches to the drill was plain and tubular, not hex/octagonal like other drills or a recessed part so have a good grip to allow the drill to slide.

Pros
  • Wide application - design for drilling low to medium tensile strength materials such as aluminium, iron, copper, brass and metal
Cons
  • I will write later
