Safety hazard, no food grabbing, weak blade

I've been using my previous one for 25 years and it's time to get a new one. So, based on 25 years of experience, we ordered the same brand. There were two main problems. First, the food grip became dull and couldn't hold hard vegetables like carrots and radishes. Second, the blade now shifts when I push food. I injured myself with these two defects. Big disappointment.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Super Spicy!: Kitchen & Dining

Super Spicy! Be sure to use an auxiliary tool so that you don't accidentally remove your fingertips when cutting. The blade conforms to thin paper slices. Makes a great shredded coleslaw. Cuts perfectly even slices (or thin slices) and is great for slicing potatoes ultra-thin for making homemade potato chips. I've tried making french fries but this blade slices them too finely, more like thin potato sticks. The blade can be easily removed for cleaning (again, be careful as the blade is very…

Impressed with the design but not sharp enough!

My mother has a German mandolin, which is good for chopping cabbage, and a food processor for smaller jobs. I have only tried this product with cabbage; thin slicer that was already on the mandolin. It was difficult to complete the task. I didn't find this mandolin sharp enough. The same goes for knives: these days I find it difficult to find sufficiently sharp knives and usually I have to pay more for Zwilling Henkels (German, 2 double logos). I would like to find an equivalent for a vegetable

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Not as thick as other pickaxes

Buy the white one instead

I have been buying Benriner mandolins for professional use in the kitchen for over 10 years and the results are almost the same. Every green Benriner I've used has been excellent. Buy white instead, it's made to the same tolerance level as the old ones; The current green ones are noticeably off and don't work well. The food ramp is not aligned with the blade, the blade is not properly bonded and installed causing food to pool under the blade. Maybe Benriner sold the equipment used to make Green

Amazing, useful and CHEAP

I forgot where I got the recommendation for this, but THANK YOU to everyone/wherever I do it. This super cheap tool beats the very expensive one I got and others I've tried. It's insanely sharp, easy to store and cleans up very quickly with hot, soapy water. As for the ACUTE part - yes, you have to be careful. Yes I managed to cut myself the second time but that was my careless attitude. I take my time and watch when I'm done with what I'm slicing and so far so good (I'm crossing slightly…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Scary vegetable cutter, very cool!

Does a good job as a spooky vegetable slicer. I think that's the one thing in the kitchen that I'm a bit scared of using; at least more than, for example, a cheese grater, on which I injured myself several times. It's always dangerous to run your hand over a slicing blade, so use a plastic guard (which serve as handy spikes to keep food in place as you slide over it). ) is that you must be careful to dry the blades after rinsing them clean. It will rust in about 30 minutes. DO NOT AIR DRY…

Pros
  • is clear, even the old

  • The list is long.

Big! Easy! Spicy!

Good experience. The package arrived earlier than stated and the product works great! I have read many Revain reviews on this product and some said the packaging was worn and the product was used with a dull blade. Now I can understand why some people might be confused. The packaging was a bit tatty but it was also sealed - so I believe this is a new product. In addition, there were abrasions on the built-in blade. Honestly - I thought SONOPHAGOON! It's a renovation or something. BUT NO - my…

Hack finger guard!

Being a Revain customer for who knows how many years, this is my first time feeling the urge to leave a comment. Not to urge anyone to buy this item, but to share with you, both potential buyers and owners, how easy it is to fix this product's flaws. When I first received this mandolin, I was just as disappointed with the finger guard as many other people. It just doesn't work. In addition, due to the unfavorable ergonomics of the angled movement, too many muscles and elbows are required for…
