I would give 0 stars if it was a choice. I bought this as a present for my mother. She loaded it and lit a candle. The next day I went to light a candle and couldn't because the combined cargo was just sitting in a drawer. It's a piece of junk.

Loved it when I first got it but quickly realized how delicate it is and the battery life is pretty short. You must position the wick correctly for it to ignite properly. I often start by lighting a candle but eventually get frustrated and use a regular lighter. I'm not sure if this is a design flaw or something else. To update! After I cleaned the lighter it worked perfectly again!

DO NOT BUY! This product is absolute garbage. This is a Chinese product. I could do better. An absolute waste of money. The item will not be charged. Lots of warnings on the back. In fact, you have to watch it being charged and when it's done, you have to turn it off immediately or the battery will die. When you connect it for the first time. Had to return to get a refund. It won't work AT ALL. All instructions were in a different language and were VERY difficult to understand. Maybe we didn't come up with a "trick" to make it work, but if it's that hard, I still don't want it. We've tried everything we could think of and made sure it's fully charged. Even my husband tried to get it to work, got frustrated and gave up. I ordered another USB lighter elsewhere and it worked great and easy the first time with no issues.

This lighter deserves 0 stars! This lighter is a POS and does not work. Understand this lighter never worked even though it was fully charged when I received it. I love this little gadget. I'm so tired of wasting money on disposable items like lighters and I need a more sustainable product to reduce the amount of waste I generate. We're experimenting with what it lights and doesn't, and so far it's lit almost everything we've tried: candles, cigars, scraps of paper, brushes, etc. It can be difficult to get a wick in between.
