I stumbled across the whole concept of the JIS standard for Japanese products on the Toyota forum, so I bought it to check. It's a well-fitting Phillips screwdriver and feels comfortable in your hand! The processing of the tip has a really positive effect on the screws.

This screwdriver fits and holds the screw exceptionally well. The tip seems to hold up to heavy use, and the knurled shank is a handy bonus. I would love to see a hex on the shank but there are very few instances where I need one. All in all a great screwdriver at an affordable price.

Quality JIS screwdriver. I ordered this Prime and received it within two days. Ordered JIS #1, not Prime, and it will be shipped from Japan and expected to take about a month to get here. So far, so good. I wanted JIS to work on my Japanese dirt bike which has a lot of small soft bolts. The right tool helps a lot. Also ideal for normal Phillips screws.

purchased for JIS tip and does a great job of gripping derailleur limit screws. I would like to try the ball grip version of this driver but I've read that the quality isn't quite up to par. The only small issue is that someone put a product sticker on the tool seal and most of the print has gone with the sticker. excellent work. I will engrave the driver's size there myself.

copiers here, mainly Ricoh/Sharp/Canon, ever notice the little indentations on the face of some Phillips head screws? This means Japanese Industrial Standard, and while American Phillips fits, JIS Phillips fits like a glove. This particular driver has great balance, the grip is a nice weight, not too light. The magnetic tip is strong and overall I'm very happy with it. Plan to use it all the time.

Unlike many other rubber-textured products, this one is odorless. The knurled shank next to the handle is ideal for fast turning (rolling between your fingertips).
