VERY heavy and strong for the task

This is just what we needed to attach our WARN electric winch to a tree to raise the floating dock. We didn't want anything flimsy and we weren't disappointed. This is very hard work and supports the winds very well. Holes are pre-drilled in correct locations for WARN products, not sure how they will work without packaging for another company's winches.

Cable ties and anchors need improvising

Closed chains come with strong metal plates designed so the chains just sit in the recess leading me to questioning the safety used class 8 bolts through the chain to ensure the chain didn't accidentally fall off. I attached a Warn 1500 AC winch to this and was only able to use 3 holes to mount the winch plate. The bolts that came with the winch proved to be of lower quality, so I purchased 3/8" grade 8 bolts/nuts for the bracket to ensure there were no adverse effects. fit.

Unusual hole pattern, misleading description

This portable mounting plate seemed like a great idea at first. The problem is that the large bolt pattern (4" x 4.5") does not fit a larger winch that Warn sells (note the 4700 DC is being discontinued) and is not compatible with any other winch I could find . Warn-compatible winches are smaller winches with a smaller 3-bolt pattern. Not what I needed. The description is misleading and the mounting plate is shown as a 'best seller' item on other Revain winches. This product is useless except…

It's strong, it's well made and it works.

I've used the portable anchor plate a few times with a Warn 1700 portable winch. The anchor plate can be attached to almost any suitable anchor point using the chains provided. Using a tree harness and a D-bar, I climbed down from the trees. I hooked the chains to the receiver hitch attachment points and winch from the back of my truck. I have mounting points on the front of my truck that I could use as well. The chains are held in place by slots cut in the anchor plate. The length of the…

As per other reviews - the chain slot is poorly cut and needs to be altered.

The supplied chain will not fit into the slotted attachment points on the anchor plate. In order for the anchor plate to work, you must use a grinder or files to attach it. Unfortunately, this will remove the powder coating. And there is an uncovered spot on my plate where it looks like the plate was hung on a hook while the powder was being applied. i It is not comfortable to spray rustoleum on this plate and let it dry for 24 hours before you can mount the anchor plate on the winch. Aside…

The winch plate is very thick and designed for heavy use! Recommended

First impression: Plate and chains are very thick and strong. A bit bigger than I expected which is good but a bit heavy. Read all comments before ordering and was curious how the chains would match the slots; The one I received required no modifications and could go in and out. Dead end (free side) when installing I plan to use some zip ties to make sure it doesn't slip out. Very unlikely, but it occurred to me. Bought to work with a ZXR 3500 HF winch so I assumed the bolt pattern would be…

Works with Warn 80010 1000lb AC Winch!

WARN 80010 1000lb AC winch attaches with three of the four screws included with the winch (not plate). Putting those bolts in isn't much fun, though; You will need tiny fingers or needle nose pliers to insert a nut or bolt into the winch body, depending on which side you want to mount which part. However, it's also not easy to get the wrench in after it's attached with enough force to hold it in place for tightening. You will probably work best with a flat head angle wrench.
