Welding Tungsten Electrode Thoriated YESWELDER Review

This is my first time ordering tungsten but I ordered 10 and got 10. They look good but don't improve my welding, I'm just learning and my welds are terrible!

I received the tig rods as expected. I didn't know they were made in China. I would buy others that are made in the USA. I haven't used them yet. I'll find out how well they work.

I'm in college and making progress in pipe making. My tungsten 5 pack is in my locker and in a couple of months I've had to buy more to keep in practice while making horseshoe art. Also, I had to buy a tungsten grinder, both work great, I'm ready for more now

The choice of tungsten electrodes is sometimes arbitrary. You should try them to see if they work the way you want them to. I was looking for tungsten electrodes for TIG welding aluminum. I have a new Miller Multimatic 220 AC/DC welder and I have yet to play around with its settings to get the best results I can get as a home welder.

These tungsten electrodes seem to help, but since I'm only learning TIG I have to sharpen them frequently. If you let the electrode touch a puddle or a stick, you will ruin the tip. There are guides online for corner sharpening and sanding, but whether you want it needle sharp, you may end up a little dull at the very end. Again, you can find the best results in the online guide.

This information is for those who don't know what to choose, otherwise I'm not trying to impose a type on anyone, that's just my opinion. From 1958 to today.
