Great for Miata NA Transmission Filler Port

Purchased because the filler plug head was unusual and the typical socket pattern did not match. Good to have in your toolbox if you have an NA Miata.

Had the trick for hand tools

I actually bought this to remove the transmission filler plug on a Miata. The connector is square. It worked great. There were no 11 and 6 point sockets. The socket itself makes a solid impression.

Did the job I needed

I used this to remove the transmission filler plug on my NA Miata (1992, five speed). Worked great for this task, not sure I'll come across anything else that I need to use it for.

Ideal for Miata transmission filler neck.

This is the only socket size and style I could find that fits perfectly with the Miata Square Head Transmission Filler Plug. I don't know why they used that bolt in that hole; but that will remove it.

My boat has a notched transom but it doesn't.

My boat has a notched transom and no room for a wrench when the boat is on a trailer and I have tried 12 point sockets with little success. My brother-in-law suggested an 8-sided outlet (didn't even know it existed) and ordered this outlet. The socket fits perfectly into the square end of the drain plug. Now I have no problem replacing my boat's drain plug!
