ABS don't waste your time or money

The bearings did not accommodate the wheel speed sensor on a 2008 335i. Had to remove and replace the OEM bearing to get the ABS working and the lights/warnings gone, wasted over 6 hours of work.

Pros
  • Hold my fists
Cons
  • Low repairability

Will not work with BMW speed sensor

Will not work with BMW speed sensor, does not have magnet insert to work with speed sensor. Didn't find out until after it was installed, then had to take it out (lavash) and have the BMW bearing reinstalled.

Pros
  • Waiting for
Cons
  • Negative present

Does NOT have the (proper?) ABS rings for later models.

NO (right?) ABS rings for later models. Had to bring mine back and fit an original BMW part. I checked with the good folks at WJB that you need the WB511044 which clearly says it has magnetic ABS functionality. Revain does not appear to carry this ATM. There is some confusion here because older BMWs used a separate drag ring, but YES, newer ones (I have a 2009) have it in the bearing assembly.

Pros
  • Good fitment
Cons
  • No
