Excellent knife - carving knife

I've never had a knife like this before. I have most of the other knives in this line and really like them. That's a great knife too! The blade feels thinner than my regular chef's knife, so it feels very sharp.

  • handy item
Cons
  • can't remember

Beautiful kitchen clips

This line of excellent knives. I have 3 in total and they meet all our needs. I have a big one, this one and a loaf of bread. They look great and have held up so well over the years. I use it for almost everything except large veggies like broccoli or watermelon.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Annoying

Excellent balance in the kitchen and dining room

When I first received the knife it felt a little shorter than all my other Santoku knives. It may seem so, but it is not so. Excellent balance and a sharp edge make it an ideal knife for meat or vegetables. Even though I've only had it a few weeks, the rim seems to be staying where it should be. Great price for the quality of the knife.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Some flaws

It's been 2 weeks and still no ER visit. HA! I've wanted to buy this knife for a long time and I'm glad I have it. It's sharp and easy to use. It's Wüsthof, so buy it if you want. If you want to save money, look elsewhere. I personally think this knife is of high quality and like this handle.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons

For me it is Epicurus!

The Wüsthof Epicure series is outstanding. Now I have 4 different knives and they have great balance, shape and performance. They stay sharp and are my choice of knives. I started with the Gourmet series many years ago, then progressed to some Classic series knives and bought my first Epicure 2 years ago. Wüsthof has always been my thing, but now I take connoisseurs first, depending on what I'm doing. The rest is good, but you'll have to try Epicure to believe it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Base required

Genuine storage knife

This is my first non Walmart/Target knife and after about 5 months of use I can safely say it is fantastic! He processes everything from romaine lettuce to chicken bones. The cuts are consistently thin and clean and a real pleasure to cook with. The only negative is how expensive it is. Personally, for purely aesthetic reasons, I would buy these again. But if I was on a budget and the blade is the same on the cheaper versions then that's the point and you certainly won't be disappointed.

  • Well made

Very Very Very Good Santoku

If you are looking for a nimble, durable, sharp and enviable knife this is a great buy, especially at the retail price of $109! This seems like a bit of an experiment for Wüsthof, as this line of knives avoids many of the hallmarks of the usual Wüsthof style. No square grip anywhere, no pronounced bolster, lower overall profile and weight. I hope this experiment pays off for veteran knife makers as the blade is extremely hard, easy to sharpen and offers a fresh take on the modern age. classic…

Beautiful set of blocks

I have had a chef's knife for a long time and this is my favorite knife. It goes through the toughest vegetables like butter. I was so excited to find such a great deal on this blockset that I decided to buy it. Pros: Natural wood block is heavy and durable. It has plenty of extra slots to fill in as you build your collection, but you start with the bare essentials at a better price. The knives are just great. The handles are smooth and comfortable to hold. Be careful because they are very…

The handle is so amazingly smooth feels good in your hand

I got my boyfriend an 8 inch Epicure chef's knife for his birthday and he was over the moon. He keeps finding new reasons to use it and it has inspired cooking in our house. He likes the weight distribution and the easy handling. The handle is so amazingly smooth that it feels great in your hand. So far the blade is holding up very well. We used to have a 10" knife that was too big for some things, but our 6" knives weren't big enough to quickly handle arcs or certain cuts when we want the…
