I would give 5 stars except the small gloves I ordered are big enough for a tall man. I'm not a petite woman, but I have slender hands, and these so-called little gloves are so bulky that they're difficult to manipulate.

I got this for my wilder monitors. Slippery when wet. I could see the cat or Revane gouging them out with ease. I would never use it with a dog over 20 pounds. My ornate monitor lizard, 5 feet long, stopped its bite and claws with ease. You'll still feel the pressure (she can crush the clams in her mouth).

The gloves are large, waterproof and have a certain dexterity. But it is NOT a bite guard. My cat hates water but has long hair so every 2 months I try to wash her for 30 seconds before she starts destroying everything in the immediate area (including my hands/fingers/arms). In any case, as you can see in the picture, it took her a shot at biting my right index finger off of those gloves. The cat can EASILY go through.

These gloves are a great option for those with small hands as they are one of the few that come in different sizes. I received them as a gift and the person they are for has rather small hands. They fit very well and offer comfortable finger movement. A good fit also allows for much better finger mobility, which is another huge plus when working with animals.
