Warning! Causes 2-3 minute delay booting and waking up on Windows 10

I bought this to add USB-C ports as well as USB-A to my desktop system. It works like a USB controller, but with one big problem. This causes a 2-3 minute delay on boot up and every time you wake up from sleep. The system is not responding with a black screen. That was removed and reverted to the original USB 3 controller and the boot/wake time was back to normal. Oddly, both cards have the Fresco Logic FL1100 chipset and identical drivers. Something about this YEELIYA card is either…

It would be great if it was what is advertised, but it is not.

This was the perfect product for what I wanted it for but it had a small issue. The USB 3.0 header was not included in the manual. So I couldn't connect a USB 3.0 cable. Also, there was no indication of which pin was on top as there is no notch to guide the connector and there are no identifying marks as to what pin 1 is. I figured out where up is by looking at the ad and seeing where the notch was hoping they were just stupidly reducing the cost by not adding a piece of plastic connector and…

Mixed feelings about this card but it's very high quality

I bought this card because I wanted to be able to pass the entire USB controller to the virtual machines I run on my run server. It is very well suited for this purpose as it uses the Fresco Logic FL1100 USB 3.0 host controller chipset which makes it compatible with most operating systems including Mac, Windows, Linux. - Internal USB 3.0 connector for two more USB ports. Cons: - Not straight USB Type-C (only USB 3.0 on Type-C ports) - Poor soldering on ALL multi-pin connectors - Bracket needs…

Best combo for free USB ports

I've used up all available USB ports on my Asus X570 Strix (3950X users here). Overall, this PCIe card was the best value for money. For my needs I have 3 extra regular USB ports and a stash of 2 more USB C ports. Chances are that any new phones and gadgets I buy in the next year or so will be upgraded to a faster standard, so there's no harm in getting some more and this expansion card is for you. Installation is simple: - Turn off the computer - Open the computer and the free slot (e.g…

The card worked perfectly, build quality could be improved.

Bought this card to add USB 3 to an old motherboard that had the onboard USB 3.0 burned out. Installation was complicated by the mounting plate on the board not matching the USB connectors. I had to break out the pliers and bend the mounting bracket in place so the USB cable could be inserted into the port without hitting the bracket. Once connected, Windows 10 recognized the card and everything has been working fine ever since. I really like the internal connector so you can plug in the case's

Leeliya 5 Port USB 3.0 Expansion Card

Pros: - Good price discount but this card was bought mainly for the extra USB 3.0 Type-C ports. The newer Gigabyte GA-990FX gaming mobo has two Version 3.1 ports built in, Gen 2 Type A and C, but they needed these 3.0 ports for occasional cell phone data transfers and to migrate older USB 2.0 hardware to the newer USB 3.0 technology. So far this addition to the card has worked as expected with no hiccups, for now it's very nice - the small card fits comfortably in the first PCIe 1x slot between

Very good Macintosh compatibility

I bought this USB 3.0 card hoping it would be compatible with my old trusty 2008 Mac Pro 3.1 with El Capitan. I read that in order to use a USB 3.0 card with an AS Media controller (ASM3142), I would need to download and install a "generic" kernel extension (called GenericUSBXHCI, written for Hackintosh PCs), what I didn't want to pretend like I hate messing around with my Mac system. But I also read that a "competing" USB controller from Fresco Logic (FL 1100) had native support for Mac…

Strange design choices and sort of inconsistency

I have to say right away that it seems to be working. However, I encountered some oddities during the installation. First, does the card seem too short for PCIe? When I installed it in my case, the bracket didn't seem to fit into the slots in the case frame. I basically had to remove all of my other cards on this system so I could rotate the card properly to properly seat it. PCIe is the standard, so I don't understand why it's so inconvenient to properly seat this card in the slot. Second, the

Misleading product

I bought this product because I'm in the process of upgrading my I-Phone 6 to I-Phone 12 Pro Max and thought I needed a USB-C port to do it synchronize . This product seemed like a good choice as it includes both USB-C ports and 3 USB 3.0 ports. The price didn't particularly impress me, although it seemed good to me. When the product arrived I found very little documentation and what was included was 4 point text. It was difficult to read even with a magnifying glass. Also, it did not specify…
