This is the best 3D printer material I have ever printed with.

This is the only nylon I can print on my anet A8 (not a full metal hotend). When I first received it there was a hole in the pocket and the nylon soaked up the moisture. When printed, the material crackled and smoked from the escaping water, but the detail was of good quality. This happened every time I bought this stuff. I printed several kilograms of this material. Now, just to be safe, I bake the roll in the oven at 180-200 F (82-93 C) for 6-8 hours to remove the moisture. I also keep it in…

I've found that good wide margins are essential to combat warping, but I've successfully printed on a cold bed with a nozzle temperature of 235°C. Best of all, I've found that with the right…

Pros
  • 1.75mm nylon 3D printing filament that prints easily at 230°C
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Large Nylon Filament

When I first started printing with nylon I read about Taulman3D filament and it has pretty solid reviews. I bought a Prusa Mini Plus in May and tried different materials for RC parts. My first test print was printed at 235c and 55c (with good coverage with Elmer's glue stick). The test print worked great. My second print went great for the first 5-6 coats. After a few hours I had some clicks again but no extrusion. After checking everything, I found that the nylon inside the printer had…
