Bought for my Nikon D3200 to use mainly for indoor non-flash photography. Because it's a fast lens that can let in a lot of light, it's ideal for this application. This lens is very good. I would recommend this to anyone trying to stay in the lower budget lens category without significantly sacrificing quality. If your budget allows you to buy Nikon I would do so. Now Nikon's recommendation doesn't mean it's a bad lens, because frankly it's very good and the differences can most likely be corrected in post-processing.
