Impressive Shrink Ratio

I bought this to terminate the ends of some battery cables I make. The non-shrink tubing overshadows those of I used 4AWG wire and spade lugs which made me a little worried I might have bought the wrong size. However, when heated it shrank and did exactly what it was supposed to do. Looks like there was a lot of glue in there too. a strange overview of shrink wrap here. I have used adhesive backed shrink wrap for many years. This manufacturer seems to use the least glue possible. Shortly after working with shrink wrap I thought I had regular shrink wrap because it didn't have the stiffness or thickness of regular marine shrink wrap. In fact, I had to use it to determine if there was any glue at all. Glue bleeding was minimal during use. They seem to have found a way to significantly reduce the amount of glue in shrink…

Hello, I often use my electrical gear to install 12v wires and accessories on my UTV or other applications. I use 12 or 14 gauge wires and connectors, usually butt connectors. I've always run out of a specific size heat shrink tubing that will fit the blue or red butt connectors and wanted to order a pack of that exact size instead of a variety of packs with many small sizes that don't work for me.
