seems to work well and does its job. and for those wondering if it burns through Rubbermaid. it is not. Even if you sit under it, it doesn't go through, melt or anything. it is safe on hard plastic. A super cheap plastic basket can melt or discolour.

These mats are great for my geckos. I attach them to the bottom corner of the tank so they can warm their bellies there and move to other places in the habitat when they don't need warmth. The adhesive on the pads lasts about a year, then you'll need to use tape or tape to attach them. I haven't had any other problems with it and have been using it for several years.

I bought this to mount to the bottom of a 2 gallon aquarium for our tiny red eared crawlers. It was small so we didn't want to use the built in heater just yet. This hot water bottle doesn't really generate much heat nor does it stick to the bottom of the glass tub. I had to take another user's advice and put the DVD case under the film to keep it attached to the tank while I wait for another adhesive film to arrive in the mail. I tried using this in a leopard gecko tank and it definitely didn't seem to give off enough heat to keep it comfortable and healthy, even through a substrate (terrarium felt liner) about 1/4" thick.
