Cruise control not working. This is one of .

Cruise control doesn't work. This is one of the easiest ways to fix your car. I have a 2009 Chevy Suburban. I bought an ACDelco D1539J product. I have received contractual information from various sources regarding the correct product number for my machine. The Revain test confirmed this. It took me 10 minutes to install. After removing the screw, use a screwdriver to press the clip attached to the old device so that you can easily pull it out.

  • Excellent design

Fixed issue with cruise control not turning on

This switch has two sets of contacts, one set for brake lights and another set for cruise control off. I had an issue with the cruise control where the display on the steering wheel showed that the cruise control was on, but pressing the buttons to engage (coast) or re-engage (accelerate) didn't cause the cruise control to ratchet. The switch installs easily with a 10mm ratchet combination wrench and a flathead screwdriver. It took about 10 minutes to remove the old switch and install this one.

Pros
  • Solid Surface
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Quick fix for intermittent cruise control

A relatively easy installation provided a quick fix for intermittent cruise control on a 2009 Suburban. Sometimes the cruise control worked, sometimes not. Sometimes a light side impact on the brake pedal helped engage the cruise control, and sometimes it didn't. Replaced this switch and now the cruise control works reliably. There is a 10mm(?) bolt holding the derailleur to the brake lever along with a clip that fits over the bolt. The clip is a bit difficult to figure out how to remove and…

My cruise control was fixed - GMC Yukon

I have a 2011 GMC Yukon XL 1500 - cruise control was intermittent and then stopped working completely. The steering wheel light came on, but the dashboard light didn't come on and the cruise control stopped working. I read online that "90% of cruise control problems" like mine are related to this module. Thought I'd give it a try for $12 (the dealership wanted over $500 to fix the cruise control). Took me about 5 minutes to swap it out (it's under the dash, just above the brake pedal) - one…

Very good deal, switch arrived as promised

Very good deal, Switch arrived as promised. The price was very reasonable and the piece works great. I checked it and it doesn't interfere with my cruise control. I installed a trailer brake control box on my truck. Until I got this part I looked at it to see if it was red and then gently pressed my foot on my brake until it released, when this happened I was using my cruise control. A defective brake switch is in itself an unpleasant and dangerous hazard on the road. Excellent product and…

Worth a look!

So I recently took my 2007 Chevy Suburban on a road trip. Low and lo and behold, 100 miles in, dash lights are on with 'Service Traction Control' and 'Stabilitrak Off' illuminated on dash. This repeated itself during my 400 mile trip. It's also noticed that AFM doesn't switch between V8 and V4 modes. Started researching online horror stories about MAF sensor replacements, $2,000 repair bills, etc. Stumbled upon an article discussing issues with intermittent cruise control and traction control…

Worked for 2018 Yukon Denali

This worked fine for my 2018 Yukon Denali. Cruise control works again! The hard part was getting to him. I spent about a week figuring out how I would contort myself to work in this small and complex space. I removed the knee pad (under the dash) and one side of the vent under that dash to get a better view of the old brake light switch. You can probably leave by simply turning off the ventilation. I found the easiest way to get there was to sit on a 5-gallon bucket (like from a big store) just

finally after 2 years the cruise control is back.07 denali

07 gmc yukon denali 6.2 v8 my cruise control stopped working over 2 years ago and i tried the most commonly suspected remedies but to no avail until i stumbled upon one possible fault in the brake switch and realized it was $10 so I figured it would be a pretty good buy if the problem was eventually fixed. All of my brake lights worked and there were no problems with my truck's braking system, so I didn't immediately suspect that part. But after installing it I found that it actually fixed my…

Correct Part -- Fixed My Cruise Control -- Fast Shipping

I recently purchased a 2008 GMC Yukon SLT. On the way home from the dealership, I was horrified to find that the cruise control was not working. When the cruise was turned on, the indicator on the steering wheel lit up, but the "Set" button didn't work. I did a little research on the net, which drew my attention to this part. I watched a few assembly videos and decided to jump into the DIY world (against my wife's objections!). The item arrived in a sealed AC/Delco plastic bag mailed in a…
