Not suitable for chargers

Good. The battery connectors are really good, so I wanted to like them. However, it charged my new Li-ion battery once and then didn't work again. Difficult to switch modes / unresponsive as instructed. One battery broke (good thing there was a warranty). I didn't charge a second new battery so I bought another charger and it worked great.

There was a problem. . . But I recommend. . . read review. . .

Charger didn't want to be fully charged. Even after several days of charging with several batteries, the specified full charge was not reached. Battery voltage reading with no load was 13.7V. Clearly fully charged (full charge lead-acid chemistry is 13.2V, 2.2V per cell per 6 cells for a 12V battery). At 13.7V and still pushing, the battery will be overcharged. This leads to water decomposition in the electrolyte and premature aging with corrosion of the C/10 plates. Anyway, I ordered a…

Excellent mid-range 6/12 volt charger

I used a charger almost the same as this Autoxel from Duracell. It's also a 3.8 amp charger with the same features. I needed a second charger to keep all my 12v AGM batteries charged and ready to go. The big difference between the two chargers is that Duracell costs twice as much. Both are splash-proof, both have the same features and displays, and both are very well made. Both chargers are great but I wish I had seen that last year as I could have 2 of these Autoxels for the price of a…

Affordable yet reliable smart charger

Works great. It slowly prepares the battery for charging. The charging speed depends on how much of the discharged energy needs to be replenished. It also utilizes each space that needs to be filled with a small amount of stored energy, it's like filling each space with the energy of a grain in a battery. This restores the original discharge capacity of the battery. (My battery is 14V). It has a selector that allows you to choose the health and settings for your battery so that overcharging…

Bought twice and broke twice

My work truck (a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500) with a Walmart battery (750CCA) sat outside for weeks during a cold winter without moving, so the battery was drained frequently. I have a larger charger and jump starter, but bought this one to keep out because it's waterproof and the battery status indicator was easy to read at a glance. I installed it and it's exactly what I wanted. I leave it outside in the rain and cold, plugging in the jumper cables as needed to keep it charged, but also unplugging…

Perfect fit for my project car

I needed a good reliable charger for my project car which I drive occasionally. My car uses an Optima Red Top battery which is an AGM battery so finding a charger capable of charging and servicing AGM batteries was important to me and this one had it. Most other AGM battery chargers are VERY expensive so I decided to try this one and it works great. I had an old Optima Red Top battery that was running out of juice and used it to see how well it worked and it was able to charge it fairly well…

Extremely unimpressed

Really wish it worked as it was deal of the day at the time of my purchase and therefore the yield was higher than other units in a similar price range. The reviews were good, so I was sure I made the right choice. Bad luck. The first unit I received appeared to pass the power-on self-test, but then only went into 6V mode, which is an issue since it was connected to a dead but relatively new car battery. I wanted to use the "Repair" mode, but attempts to change the mode according to the…

Just what I needed - battery chargers

I have several Battery Tender chargers, but I also have several batteries that I need to keep charging. I was looking for a particularly energy-saving charger and decided on this model for a number of reasons. First, it's capable of delivering close to four amps in bulk charge mode. The maximum current of the My Battery Tender charger is half an ampere. This charger will be much more useful for my higher power purposes. It also features a charge mode for sealed lead-acid (SLA) gel batteries. I…

A big problem is that it doesn't get 5 stars.

Let me start by saying this is a great product for the price. He does exactly what he says and did it well. It has settings that protect AGM batteries (most important for me). There is only one issue that needs to be addressed, just like yesterday: this unit comes with a battery harness, which I usually like as I don't have to take the bike apart to charge the battery regularly. The problem with the wiring harness - the hot side is not melted! if the wire shorts to the bike frame, the battery…

Broken, not working properly.

I bought two of these units and both had the same issue. I bought this to have very little use of my car battery during covid19. I figured it would be handy to have a small manipulator that I could permanently connect to my battery, which is in the trunk of my car, using the eyelet connectors. Even when this was connected to my battery, it broke after a few months. Then I realized that this maintainer will never reach 100% of a solid LED, it keeps blinking. I didn't read the instructions as…
