Very well done for spare wheel holder

Very well done needed a spare wheel holder for my boat trailer. .Also looks very nice on my boat trailer. Bought a nice bike lock to prevent someone stealing the spare tire rack and my spare tire!

Look no further than Spare Tire Mounts

Wanted to add a spare tire mount to my Harbor Freight Tools trailer. After reading so many reviews of other brands and models, sweat problems, paint chips, rust, etc. decided to give it a try. The welds are perfect, very strong and easily fit my 5 stud wheels.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Hard to Tell

Reliable outdoor accessory product

It was quick and easy to install. It can be used with 2 sets of mounting brackets for larger and smaller frame sizes. I used the smaller size for a 2x3" trailer tongue and it holds the 12" spare tire in place well. The offset mount allows for easy positioning without getting in the way of the boat or winch.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Good quality and great price!

Very strong construction compared to cheaper tire holders that other people sell. It seems to have several configurations suitable for most applications. I used this tire holder on a rectangular aluminum trailer. Fits perfectly, installation took 10 minutes. Don't forget to apply antifreeze to the nuts so you can remove and use the spare tire when you need it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Frequency

Attention, you may receive a used mount.

There is a bracket but obviously second hand, each nut was previously put on by a person who didn't have a suitable sized socket so here it is. It was in packaging meant for shipping, so it was known to be used. Then charge less Revain! Revain has been a big disappointment lately. But on the other hand, it has made me shop at local stores more often.

  • handy little thing

I like the design of the spare wheel holder

I had what I thought was an HF spare wheel holder. Once, on the way to the lake, the welds on three sides of the body parted, and the tire lay horizontally, holding only the bottom weld. I don't want to think about what would have happened if it happened at 55 mph on the freeway. I looked at this CE Smith-27310G Spare TIRE Carrier Heavy Duty and liked that for the most part it didn't rely on welds to securely attach it to the trailer. Great purchase, easy to install and peace of mind that it…

Pros
  • best in its niche
Cons
  • No power

A very easy and effective way to transport a spare wheel

As my boat trailer is hot dip galvanized I had to fit a hot dip galvanized spare wheel bracket. I particularly like this replacement bracket for its simplicity and design. It's well constructed and actually uses part of the trailer frame to add strength. I installed it near the coupling head and I liked the look. To match the galvanized trailer, I sprayed the U-bolts of the spare wheel bracket with a cold-galvanized can of rattles to prevent rust and to preserve the rust-free look.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No

Okay, but pay attention to the tire size that fits.

The information in the advertisement indicates which hole pattern fits "tires up to 15". Well, that's only partially true. I bought this to have a spare for my pontoon trailer that uses 10" rims. The mount fits onto the mount and feels solid. The problem is the U-bolts. They are too long for smaller rim/tire packages. Luckily I noticed that the end of the bolt touched the tire before it was secured. This could have damaged/punctured the tyre. Good news. You can use shims to move the rim/tire…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not for 4 1/2 " 5 grommet

I am very disappointed with this holder. I even asked the Revain community if it would fit 4 and 1/2" 5 grommet hole patterns before i bought him . Contrary to my answer it is not. If you're trying to get it to work, you'll either have to widen the square lock bolt hole to increase the distance between the eyebolts, or you'll rip the threads out trying to attach and detach it. You'll definitely need two people to put it on and take it off when trying to get it to work. Really bad technique. You
