We fitted this to a Ford Drag Car engine. A bit of forgery to match the pulley to the crank pulley but that's to be expected. A wire is the way! Usually holds at 7000 rpm. It charges between 14.5 and 14.8 volts depending on the rpm.

This is a very nice product! Some people have complained that this isn't a show car chrome finish and while that might not be the case it's certainly a very good finish and I doubt you'll find anything better at this price point. It works exactly as advertised and only time will tell.

I have had them in my car for about 4 years now. It works with an electric fuel pump, HEI, sensors and sniper and runs on 13.6V. As soon as I turn on the AC or electric fan it runs on 13V or less (12.6V when cruising with AC and fan). on). Keeps my battery charged but struggles when draw is over 40-50 amps. Looks great, no problems with workmanship or mechanics.

Nice chrome, quality parts and pulley. I would have given 5 stars, but when I tried to remove the screws to "tie" the front cover and case to my rig, one of the screws in the case broke. I had to spend a tedious hour repeatedly drilling and re-cutting the hole. The manufacturer needs to coat these screws with a lubricant because they need to be backed out 75% of the time to turn the case.

This product is not under warranty. They refused to cover the fault after 6 months citing the fact that I had used it in an aftermarket installation and not in a vehicle that specifically required that alternator model. , so this is a particularly bad guideline for this model. I will not buy this brand again.

I've been using it for a few months now and it still charges great. With any accessory on my Cutlass 71, the voltage never drops below 13 volts. Can't beat the price. Update: SIX YEARS LATER still charging! The only problem I had was the bearings were starting to make noise so I decided to take them apart to replace them. This is a really well designed generator.
