The hotspot works great; but there were no instructions in the box.

Access Point works great; However, the packaging did not include instructions on how to install and configure the access point. When I called tech support they told me it was an old product and out of warranty. After about 75 minutes on the phone, I finally got the support I needed to set up the hotspot. I had to send proof of purchase to Cisco Technical Support to get help. I was very disappointed that I had to fight so hard to get the support that should have been included in the hotspot. Iโ€ฆ

Is working. Temporarily good for computers and accessories

The 4410N works as advertised in minutes and possibly up to days; However, he keeps dropping connections. Connect this device directly to WRT54gl with Tomato firmware. Absolutely no complaints about the 54gl - a decent product if I've ever seen one, especially when paired with DD-WRT or Tomato firmware. 4410N is terrible. When trying to use a wired connection as an access point to extend WiFi to a four story house, the access point keeps dropping connections. The longest I've had with it was aโ€ฆ

Great for filling in the dead zone on the other side of the house!

I received my Cisco 4410 WAP today, everything is connected. Good stuff. This is the situation I had: I have a router from the IP on one side of the house. My office is on the other side. When I close the door to my office, my devices don't even see my wireless router on the other side of the house. The Cisco 4410 Wireless Access Point fixed all of that. Works great, but only after you understand a few things. First connect it to the SP router via one of the category 5 ports. In a minute youโ€ฆ

They work great and have a long range.

Easy to update to the latest firmware and easy setup via web interface. The only thing I would like to mention is the access point and there is no DHCP server on board. You need another device or a downstream device to provide DHCP. Something like SonicWall or NetVanta or even a Linux PC doing firewall/NAT/DHCP duties. I used 8 of these devices (4 with POE) connected to a Cisco switch to provide wireless access to a medium sized hotel. The hotel is set over 3 floors with concrete floors andโ€ฆ

Worked out of the box. noticed during setup.

Done. When setting up, I noticed that the time zone stopped at 2015. I also pointed out in the instructions that a firmware update was part of the initial setup, so after 2 or 3 attempts to get it working and restarting the WAP by power cycling it, I was able to install the firmware update . Didn't enter the setting yet in 2016. Just found an NTP server and set it up to use instead of setting the date and time manually. Completed settings. Connected a device and ran a speed test. It would be better if the software was better

The firmware in this product is terrible and buggy. When I plug this device in, it broadcasts and works properly, but I can't edit the settings after I enter the default broadcast, so I have to use my DHCP table to get an IP address and access it from the main network ( once after you configure it, you can then invoke it from a network broadcast). This device has good range and transmission speed and seems to be performing as expected from a guest hotspot. I wish it had a built in guest loginโ€ฆ

Cannot keep them online - daily restart required

I have had 2 of these products for about 9 months now. When they work, they work great. The problem is that they usually don't work for more than a few hours. The devices will work fine for hours (and in rare cases, days) and then one or both will fail. They require a reboot to start working again and can be up and running again in minutes or hours. We returned the device to Cisco as this is apparently a known issue and received two new devices. new ones and face the same problems again. Inโ€ฆ

Not impressed! Drops connections, requires a PERMANENT hard reboot.

We bought these for use in our small classrooms to allow easy access to a WiFi signal. Whether via PoE or with the supplied power adapter directly on our switch, these devices are an absolute waste of money. They require an almost daily feeding cycle to make them responsive, they break bonds and are difficult to handle. They are meant to be set up, activated and then left alone because they are meant to just WORK. It's annoying to set up, they lose their configurations and JUST NOT WORK. Avoidโ€ฆ
