Recommended for combination wrenches

This is a good basic set. If you use them properly, they should last. Remember that you should not break or tighten the screws with the ratchet end. Loosen the bolt with the closed end first and you won't rip off the gears like most bad reviews do. User error doesn't always mean a bad product.

Pros
  • Smooth grip profiles make it easy to apply more torque to the fastener
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

CRESCENT is still a good product

I really doubted the jaws worked but after some hard work I have to say they worked well . As in the past, the CRESCENT tools held their end. It was a pleasure to use this open jaw. I've also had to use it on cable ends where I could only use an open end wrench, but having that open end ratchet saved a ton of time.

Pros
  • Turn nuts and bolts without removing the wrench from open ended ratchet fasteners
Cons
  • So So

Does not match the quality of the Crescent

. The problem is that the ratchet function does not work. The toothing gets stuck and then you don't even have an open-end wrench because it slips. Invest in a standard set of open-end wrenches. They aren't worth the money.

Pros
  • brand. Laser etched size markings make it quick and easy to identify the correct tool.
Cons
  • . Poorly thought out.

The ratchet mechanism is faulty.

Both simple box wrenches and mediocre crescent wrenches work, but the open ended ratchet is terrible. The mechanism is quite wobbly and I remember it working properly once. It behaves especially badly when the bolt has come loose and is practically not welded. If you need a flat ratchet/wrench, get one with a ratchet side of the loop.

Pros
  • Innovative shank design gives your wrench set a unique look
Cons
  • Damaged

Cheap workmanship, poor quality.

These are tools and work as expected however the finish quality on this product is sub par at best. This photo was taken after one use! The part was brand new, but after a few corners the goal was set. Home Depot's Husky brand is much better for the same price, I just didn't want to go to the store. Tools don't have to stay pretty, but the finish should last longer than a single use.

Pros
  • Fits 6 standard fasteners - hex, square, 12 point. , E-torx , radiused hex and spline
Cons
  • Expensive

Useless ratchet with an open end. Deceptive advertising

Beware. The ratchet is so useless that I am considering selling or donating the tools because no experienced technician would intentionally use the open side or buy them from me lest I waste my time putting them up for sale. ZERO stars. I bought a standard and a metric set and both are terrible. I want to return them so badly because it was a waste of $50. Port transport has the best tools. 12point is a feature that does not incur any additional cost when purchasing tools.

Pros
  • Fast ratchet function rotates fasteners in restricted areas
Cons
  • Disappear

The first thing that doesn't catch your eye is the quality of the key on the face! the second black color is not blued steel and the paint only peels off the first time you use it! third, the hardness of the key, it's terrible! A 10mm spanner simply turns when trying to unscrew the bolt, the shed is folded back with a spanner and the spanner slips! The fourth ratchet is just a parody of the spanners from the Zebra Wurt series. In short, I don't want to throw money away, don't take these keys!

Pros
  • Smooth handle profiles allow more torque to be applied to the fastener more comfortably
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
