Unfortunately I could not install it. The product appeared solid and of high quality. Neither I nor my fellow mechanic could turn the factory T55 pivot bolts, so I went back. You might have better luck, but a jackhammer or percussion gun couldn't remove the bolts that were installed in the gullwing doors on my Jeep. Much luck

Good quality and packaging but 2 things need improvement apon. The rubber bumpers aren't long enough and the manual doesn't indicate where all the washers should go. I had to guess, but I managed it I think. The paint will peel off the hardware so touch it up with a small brush and black paint after assembly.

The product is good for its price, especially compared to the price of Mopar fittings. It looks identical except for the missing icon. The only complaint I have so far is that the product I received appeared to be a return as the hardware had scratches and there was hardware from the packages in the box. When I order something new, I expect it to be new. not returned, box opened, overhauled etc.

I had a 35" tire and wheel on a Smittybilt mount. The tire vibrated with every bump and it literally felt like my Jeep was rocking to pieces on the freeway. I removed the Smittybilt and replaced it with this pivot strut and bearing holder. I used deeper spacers between the wheel and tailgate as my wheel offset pushes the tire further out. Now with just the spacers and struts there is no wobble! Boom! Love it!

Installation was easy. If you can handle a ratchet wrench, you can do it. Even though the instructions provided were pictograms, I was able to follow them without going online. I used painter's tape in three places to mark the alignment of the tailgate. It worked. Perfectly matches the Rough Country Spare Tire Move Bracket for raising the tire for 35" tires. As a finishing touch I painted the four exposed screw heads and attached the Jeep Beach emblem I had looks great.

I was a little afraid this would be a bad version of the stock tailgate booster. But for over 1/4 the price I went for it. Hardware is good and finishes are good. Didn't feel like a bad product at all. The OEM version is over $700, and I wasn't particularly interested in that price. This product rating is for my first impressions of the product. The rebar frame itself feels solid and well built, so I hope it stays that way over time. The instructions weren't as user-friendly as one might hope, but using Youtube as a resource I was able to walk through the setup process. However, the instructions on the tools required were wrong and I had to make an extra trip to the hardware store to pick up the correct tools, having just purchased the tools that required instructions…
