Reliable power supply

Replaced one of those cheap wall warts for my under the bar LED project. Connected both ends of the LED strip to a dimmer on the output side of the power supply and no problem! Works quietly. Does not hum (VERY good) Waterproof. It literally sits 4 inches from the water dispenser and sink area with no issues. After 10 months in this environment I have no problems to report. I will buy more.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Very expensive

Safety (UL) and EMC (CE) approved power supply

No annoying noise with any load on the LED dimmer, more efficient (operates less) than similar Junker power supplies used by Revain (Ledmo and Kastar -Brands have started to melt their cases at 50% of the rated load NOTE: This PSU does not come with an AC wall plug nor a 12V DC plug, but this easily attaches with 4 wire nuts, and both forks are cut off from it Castari garbage.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • High price

Works great, no flicker, no heat, voltage reduced to 10 volts

I was dying to run LED strips under cabinets at 10 volts because they got really hot at 12 (even though they're rated for 12 volts ) and consume a lot of electricity. Installed a couple of wire wound aluminum cased resistors attached to an aluminum heatsink to drop the voltage and they work great. Even at 10 volts they are so bright that we never make them brighter than average.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I'll add later

NO START DELAY! The real deal for LED lighting.

A real bargain for LED lighting. I've spent money on cheaper PSUs that are slow to turn on, whistling, overheating, etc. Tested at a constant 12.10V before and after loading. I did NOT receive a discount. I found them and bought them as a THIRD choice. They will be my first choice for the next LED lights I add to my kitchen and living room. Used with a Mi Light controller that didn't work well with unstable power supply from other power supplies I've tried.

Pros
  • hands-free
Cons
  • thin

Instant on (led strip) - unlike the other two I've tried before

I tried 2 "Desktop" 12V LED strip power supplies before I found this one . My application uses a switched outlet, also known as a "lamp socket" in the room. Both desktop PSUs took 5 seconds before the LED strips appeared and if someone didn't know about this they would probably turn off/give up the switch. But if you just plug in a power plug (or plug in a power cord) β€” flip the wall switch β€” the light comes on in less than a second. Ideal.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Blank

Great product but some confusion about voltage switch ratings

I bought this transformer to run a 12v led strip for cabinet lighting. There are many reviews here claiming the voltage switch is in the correct position (i.e. 120V or 240V) but the unit I received (LPV-60-12) had no switch type and is fully sealed. I think Meanwell may have changed the design since these reviews were written or the reviews are mixed with another product of theirs. I connected the transformer to the 120v line and it powered my LEDs straight away. Works great so far.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Fairly ok

It is by far the best LED driver for most applications.

My first purchase of this product was exactly two years ago. I used it to power a tried and true LED lighting system in our makeshift bathroom (we are renovating and the contractor was converting an old laundry room into a makeshift bathroom). I built two lamps: 1. We have a mirror about 2 feet wide and 3 feet high over the sink. I built an inverted square U shape around the mirror using a wall mounted composite lattice edging (as I said this was a makeshift bathroom). For this I used an LED…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Zero
