Fits Harbor Freight HF Predator 3500 Generator

You need to change the oil every 8 hours and the position of the drain plug makes it impossible to drain the oil without making a big mess. Remove the original 10mm plug with a socket. Wrench with extension. And screw that extension back. Leaving the dipstick in place will cause a very small amount of oil to spill when you quickly switch between the plug and hose. The only difficulty is that it is almost impossible to reach the hex at the end of the hose to tighten it. Worth the upgrade for…

I like it! - Tools and equipment

I am using Drainzit HON1012 on a Simpson MSH3125-S pressure washer with a Honda GC 190 engine. Contrary to what I've read in other reviews, there is no need to remove the pressure washer wheel to install Drainzit. The Honda GC 190 has a drain plug on both sides of the engine, and the one on the side of the fuel tank, air filter and floor pan drain has enough space to install Drainzit without removing the wheel. When installed on the other side, opposite the oil filler neck, the Drainzit hose…

Makes it easier to drain the oil

I bought this drain tube to change the oil on a Honda GC290 engine. In general, the drain hose is of very good quality and does not leak when connected to the engine. When draining the oil, loosen the screw at the end of the drain tube with your fingers and the oil will begin to drain from the engine. Make sure you have an oil container and the drain pipe will get hot when the oil is hot. When finished, hand tighten the screw at the end of the drain hose. Just be careful not to lose the screw…

Perfect and elegant solution to a common problem

I have this for my Simpson SIMPSON MegaShot pressure washer with Honda GC190 engine. Although no details are given, this will also fit the Honda GC190. I read some reviews that said in order to fit this to a Simpson Honda pressure washer you need to remove one of the wheels and get a special corner adapter blah blah blah. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS. I think another reviewer mentioned this before, but I want to reiterate. The Honda GC and GX series engines are equipped with two separate oil drain

  • Easy installation

Great but short.

I have this item to drain the oil from my Ariens Platinum 24 snow thrower. The drain plug is on the side just above the left rear wheel. If you don't remove the wheel, it's very difficult to drain the oil without making a mess. I flipped the fan to the opposite side while opening the drain plug to keep it from squirting out. Then I attached this hose. Lower the fan and the oil will have run through the hose into the container. Worked great and no dropouts. The problem is that the hose is…

Not only for Honda Fluid Tow Trucks

Great product. I have a home build log splitter that I upgraded with a 16hp Duromax XP16HPE engine. The upgrade worked very well but the oil change was an absolute nightmare. I installed a Drainzit HON1012 12mm oil changer and now I can change the oil without getting a drip anywhere but the drain bucket. I would suggest the website (and DrainZit) list the PITCH distance for adapters. Drain plugs are usually installed in sheet metal oil pans and therefore have a fine thread. However, most 12mm…

Good quality hose. in Tools & Equipment

Sure this is quality hose with quality fittings but obviously it's not something your local industrial hose and rubber supplier can't quite easily make. I was hoping that paying a high price for a plain hose would save me the trouble of making a custom drain hose for my Honda snowblower. The problem with Drainzit is that you're stuck with the nominally 12-inch hose that's sticking straight out and needs to be routed away from the chains, wheels, or other moving parts of the gear you're using it

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • Requires connector
