I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

Acquired 2 years ago for home PC. And it looks like I was wrong. It's for NAS. That is, for continuous operation. When turning on the PC / returning from sleep mode, very long initialization! Windows is loaded with it for 30 seconds, although I have a very powerful PC. Tell me which HDD with the same volume, but with quick initialization?

I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.

I don't know what else to add. Inserted=》 enabled=》 works Got pros: No Tiled Record (CMR), extended s. M.a. R.t. in synology nas, the warranty period is quite long, I have an average speed of writing large files on the local network ~ 180Mb / s, this is on the combined 2 × 1Gb ports, I did not test it in benchmarks Some cons: The price is certainly too high, but thanks to points and discounts, this moment is a little smoothed out. For me personally, it's noisy, although this is more of a…

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

I ordered it through amazon, returned the defective disk the next day, the money came to my account while I was walking home. I ordered a new one for tomorrow and it arrived. I liked the service, you can order complex expensive equipment without any problems. Different pros: I compared other options, at the beginning of 2022 this one was optimal in terms of price per TB and read / write speed. It also had a very good discount. With its cons. I ordered 3 pcs, one of the disks creaked and…

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

There are hard drives of this series in the home server for personal needs, series and films with a total volume of 28 terabytes. They work 24/7. The first one was installed 6 years ago. Smart everything is fine. At 8TB, they heat up a couple of degrees more than those at 6, which is understandable. They keep the declared speed, but like everyone else - not so fast closer to the center, but this is not the main thing in my case. In general, no problems for 6 years. Maybe that's good :)

    Great NAS drives for UnRaid

I've used Seagate and Western Digital drives over the years, with price being a major factor in deciding which drives to use in a particular build if the system is installed together. On this particular build (UNRAID NAS), Seagate was the clear winner. UNRAID was chosen for this build because it serves two purposes: as a NAS and as a hypervisor for VMs and Docker containers; Additionally, setting up bonded 10 Gigabit connections is fairly easy and requires almost no configuration. For parts:…

8TB drives are still cheaper per TB

I prefer IronWolf NAS drives for my Synology NAS boxes. They seem to be the most reliable drives I've ever used. I've never had a crash. Last week I bought 4 more 8TB drives for my newest NAS. My other 2 existing NAS boxes use the same drives. I could fit 12TB drives in this NAS, but if I go up to 10TB or more, the price per TB still increases significantly. Just upgrade the drives to 12TB. I can then use these 8TB drives for offline backups.

    Works properly with storage

I bought this 4TB Iron Wolf replacement drive for my NAS (QNAP TS251+). I converted a 4TB drive to USB and connected it to my NAS to add even more storage space. I take a lot of photos and videos and the 4TB drive has run out of space. This 8TB drive has been working great for about a month since I replaced it. It syncs with two USB sticks that I plug into both of my laptops. This allows me to save 3 versions of each file; one for each laptop and one for the NAS. they are automatically updated…

hit and miss? In my case, missed and missed

I ordered it twice and each time the hard drive had to be returned. Thank goodness for Revain's return policy! The first was the Revain Warehouse contract and it was formatted well (Mac) but not recorded. Returned. I ordered a new one, this time at full price. Worked about a week and then dismantled overnight and all data was gone. I sent it back and got a WD Red Pro 8TB NAS which works great and turned out to be the headache free drive I thought I got with IronWolf - although I still like the…

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

This cannot be attributed to the disadvantages for this type of disk, but it is quite noisy under load, and in general, during the idle period, they periodically tap when parking the heads, given that it is in a mirror raid, the noise comes from several hdds at once and this is not a very quiet option ( I didn’t measure it exactly, but I think it’s definitely there for about 30 dB), that is, the sound is very noticeable, sleeping in the same room with such a nas in the same room is problematic,

    Pros
    • 1. Price/volume ratio 2. No SMR record 3. Presence of support and manufacturer's warranty 4. Focus directly on home NAS use 5. Operation speed (read/write)
    Cons
    • Heating in the normal state 40-42, in the load 49-52, makes the fan turn on at a higher speed, which increases the overall noise of the system.

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

I managed to buy the last two from for 20k, in other stores the price immediately jumped up to 40k. disks are alive, surprisingly. before that I ordered on Amazon and in dns - all the dead came. from the market from the seller came alive immediately. smart tests short and conveyance passed ok, hours worked also 0 - new. both were packed in boxes, but only one was with a bubble wrap.

    Pros
    • smart, pretty quiet
