There are hard drives of this series in the home server for personal needs, series and films with a total volume of 28 terabytes. They work 24/7. The first one was installed 6 years ago. Smart everything is fine. At 8TB, they heat up a couple of degrees more than those at 6, which is understandable. I prefer IronWolf NAS drives for my Synology NAS boxes. They seem to be the most reliable drives I've ever used. I've never had a crash. Last week I bought 4 more 8TB drives for my newest NAS. My other 2 existing NAS boxes use the same drives. I could fit 12TB drives in this NAS, but if I go up to 10TB or more, the price per TB still increases significantly.
