Allows me to use some European tools

This machine converts 120 volt US AC 60 Hz (or 240 volt US AC 60 Hz) to European 240 volt AC 50 Hz, allowing me to have some European woodworking tools on my can use business. This conversion cannot be made from a NEMA 240 volt US plug to a 240 volt European plug adapter cord because 240 volts US is generated by 120 volts at each of the two input terminals being 180 degrees out of phase with each other, where the European 240 volt is 240 volts on one input terminal relative to zero volts on the

great for converting 220v to 110v

I was given this so I can run a 220v Singer Featherweight sewing machine from a regular 110v outlet. I don't know it had a 220v motor. Turns out it was imported from New Zealand and the previous owner just got a new cord and plugged it into a 220v socket to use it. Since I didn't want to use it next to the washing machine all the time, I figured a voltage converter would be the way to go. This was the cheapest I found and it works great. Not too big and heavy to carry around! However, it…

That works for a while.

This product worked in my kitchen for a while, powering a small microwave oven. I've noticed that it draws a lot of power even when the microwave isn't running, and I've noticed that it always makes a faint buzz. Due to the hum and power consumption, it typically stays off for 90% of the time it's on the property. Although I bought it in 2015, I had regular outages in 2017 where it stopped working and then mysteriously started working again. Based on what I've read in the 1 star reviews now…

Works well but smells bad.

As many other reviewers have said, it gives off a bad smell when running, so bad I turn on my machines with a Hepa air filter every time I try to get some of the smell off the air. My other complaint is actually more of a complaint about Revain. They packaged it in an oversized, long, skinny, thin box with no significant protection inside. The outer box was open on arrival and had significant damage to the box including a large cut. The box that this device came in was also badly dented even…

Increases/decreases power but not frequency Hz

Update. I've been using it for over a year now and it works great. The wife used her German kitchen helper at 220 volts 50/60 Hz and a Thermomix at 220 volts 50/60 Hz. She had no problems. The device itself can be plugged into a German 220 volt 50 Hz socket and can be used as a transformer to convert down to 110 volt 50 Hz or can be plugged into an American 110 volt 60 Hz socket and is stepped up to 220 volts 60 Hz. However, it does not increase or decrease the frequency. If you source power at
