Rugged multi-button controller

It can be a little tricky to set up - I use it with SmartThings and webCoRE - but it's a great device. Unlike other Z-Wave buttons that sometimes don't respond to the first button press, this device "wakes up" every time you press the button and therefore works 100%, unlike the SmartThings button for example or the Xiaomi button Aqara. . This adds a slight delay, but it's less than half a second, which is on par with any Z-Wave remote I've seen.

Has a delay but works once you figure it out

At least with Vera Plus it takes about 2-3 seconds before what you want actually happens. I followed the advice of other reviewers. here how to set it up but then noticed it wasn't working. After I added it to Vera and created scenes, there was a scene trigger dropdown menu that said "single press, double press, long press" etc. I selected all of them and it didn't work. Turns out, at least up until 2018 and the version of Vera Plus I'm using, I had to go into the device info itself and there…

Takes a bit of work but once the setup does the job.

I've never set up a device in SmartThings Groovy IDE or used Github so I had to go through that. A few U-Tube videos on installing device handlers and smart apps and a bit of google research led me to the erocm123 device handler: Remotec ZRC-60 Scene Master and the paulsheldon smart app: ABC Manager with advanced push button controller. After uploading them, everything ran smoothly and I was able to assign devices or scenes to the box. There is a slight lag in the device's response, but this is

Best Button Controller for 24-Action SmartThings

After adding the Extreme Button Controller app to the IDE, I was able to setup the ZRC-90 as a 24-function remote. Each button can be activated by a single press, double press, or a held command. I have it on the wall between the kitchen and living room. I set up each button to control a group of lights and the three options are 40%, 99% and 1%. All of these groups of lights are voice controlled via Alexa or Google, but it's handy to have easy-to-reach buttons if you don't want to disturb…

WOW! Work tools

Let me explain. I do NOT use it as a secondary or primary controller, only as a stage master. I have VeraPlus. Turning it on was the easiest of any device I have on the network. Simply select the ZRC-90 under wearable devices, then press the L button on the controller. Did. Initially, setting the controller to perform a specific task (turning on/off all the lights below) was easy (turning the light on - a single press of button 1). It was easy to set the scene to turn off, but VeraPlus didn't…

Working with Vera: Hubs and Controllers

Once I figured out how to program it, everything worked great. I am using a VeraPlus controller. Neither the manufacturer nor the website/support page gave me any useful information. With Vera, you go through the process of turning on the controller. Then create the scenes that the controller needs to control, remembering that you can do two things with the same button (e.g. turn the living room lights on and off). However, you must create a scene to toggle features on and off. When you're done

Finally a replacement for the old Intermatic HA07

When I switched from X10 to Z-Wave I really missed eight-desktop controllers. The only one I could find was the Intermatic HA07 which was difficult to program and use. (You press "All Off" and it actually sends "Off" messages to each switch separately.) This new eight-button controller recognizes double-clicks, so if you program the main controller to flip a switch, you can control 16 switches , when a key is pressed is pressed. , instead of clicking once to turn it on and twice to turn it off.

  • Very good price

Finally a good, reliable controller that works with SmartThings!

Too bad these devices are hard to find as it's the only reliable controller I've found that works with SmartThings. I've tried Aeotec devices and they either have insanely long delays when pressing a button or don't send any command at all. I use this device to control my bedroom light scenes - high, moderate, low/almost off and all off. The four buttons on the left are for temporary changes (ie changing this setting within 10 minutes) and the four buttons on the right are for instant changes…

Just to clarify, this scene controller actually generates 32 events when installed on my Vera Edge, they are as follows: Key 1 , short press = 1, button 1, quick double press = 2, button 1, long press = 3, button 1, long press release = 4. Button 2, short press = 5, button 2, quick double press = 6, button 2 , long press = 7, release button 2 after long press = 8. Short press button 8 = 29, quickly press button 8 twice = 30, long press button 1 = 31, release button 1 after long press = 32. I…
