Great product - reportedly can be used in your camping tent with caution!

That's pretty cool. I am determined to use this in our tent when we go camping next month. Yes it has an open flame but it says it has a sensor so it will turn off when the oxygen is sucked out of the air. And if it tips over, it will also turn off for safety reasons. Also, it says on the front of the box that it can be used in tents. We have a propane tank that we got separately and you attach it and leave that tank there until you use it until it's empty. There is really good warmth.

Sleeping with one eye open

In general, he does what he has to do, radiates warmth. But honestly, that's only if you can get started. They are very difficult to start, looks like it has something to do with the regulator, this is a very common and known problem. It seems that for some reason my block spontaneously starts spewing flames from time to time that can go well beyond the protective screen. Other than that, I only use it outdoors at sporting events or other outdoor activities. Personally I wouldn't recommend any…

I love Mr Heater products. I have a big chum and I've had some red chums. This is the first time I've owned one of the grays that doesn't differ much from the little reds. They just label it as an indoor van safe and they raise the price if they are all indoor safes if you have adequate ventilation. My first heater lasted about a week and the plastic side of the heater started peeling off. Come to find out which screws were pulled out of the plastic and left me a bag of screw and plastic…

Fantastic for motorhomes.

Finally! Subtle color for my camper. Before that I had a bright red Big Buddy heater. Effective? Yes. But 18,000 BTUs was overkill and the thing was absolutely massive. Enter the buddy heater. I bought a kit to attach to a 20 pound propane tank and the high setting is great for heating my 30 foot RV, even at ski resorts. The color is much nicer than bright red. There is a low oxygen sensor in the heater block, we have installed three CO detectors throughout the van. We will also make sure to…

Unreliable - burns out too often

I have been using Mr Heater gas heaters for a long time and have always been happy with them. I got this heater as an upgrade to my very old model MH #F242300, both for the added convenience of self-lighting outside and in the garage, and for something safer indoors in an emergency if the power goes out. However, I am disappointed with the performance. The low setting is almost useless as it constantly burns out. A high setting is more reliable, but also more likely to burn out for no apparent…

WORKS LIKE A CHAMPION AT 8600 FEET.

I decided this more expensive Mr. Heater Buddy, the cheaper model, had a delay in delivery and needed it for my upcoming trip to Telluride. It was mid-September, my boyfriend and I were vacationing there for the annual blues and beer festival. We were expecting glorious days from the low to mid 70s, which we were blessed with, but overnights dipped into the high 30s with a nice frost one morning. To be honest, I had two opinions. If we don't need it I'll ship it back in a box OR if it doesn't…
