PROBLEM: The Netgear N600 worked great for about 7 months but has become very unstable in the last 2 weeks with frequent shutdowns on both wired and wireless connections. All the lights on the router/modem stay on as if it were still connected to the internet, but the SSID disappears from all devices for about 30 seconds before reappearing and reconnecting. The wired connection goes into a local state and then disappears entirely. until it restarts. CUSTOMER SERVICE: My device's 90-day customer

With this product you are on your own.

This was the router/modem combo I got instead of my rented Comcast. The outdated Comcast worked much better than this. I keep losing connection when using Wi-Fi on my phone and sometimes on my computer. The other day it was so bad that I couldn't even connect to the internet on my computer. This would only allow me to go to a few different websites. I called Netgear's "Support" (if you can even call it that) and the woman who answered wanted to register my product. So I agreed and gave her the…

This product is great for a small apartment with fewer devices

I bought this gateway when I lived in a small apartment and in general everything was fine, but I don't think this is the right one Gateway for me is use. I've had it for a little over 1 year now. At the time I had about 4-5 devices using it, but I've outgrown it since then. I'm good at home networking and Comcast's Xfinity helped me set it up quite easily, you just have to chat with them for a while while they activate it. Right now I'm on a 200Mbps plan and it offers the speeds I need, but it

Works great, I recommend

Works great, no problems at all. I use Sparklight/Cable One as my ISP and they were able to help me set it up in minutes. My house is very small so I can't speak about the range. But I have 2 laptops, 2 smartphones and a Roku box that use the router regularly, as well as 4 smart jacks, a ring camera and a google home speaker that are on it all the time. So far my router has never shut down except for a power outage, but it came back up with no problems. Not sure if this means anything or is…

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Let me start by writing a negative review for Revain for the first time. Anyway, I bought this modem/router to replace my Cox modem and another router and am hoping to get better service in my 1600 sgft house. After installing this modem/router it worked great for a month then the signal started dropping randomly. Now I can't connect any devices to this device. (I only connected two phones and a laptop.) First I contacted the manufacturer's tech support, they couldn't help. They made it even…

Only regret waiting for the purchase!

I've been following this item for over a year; The price was always between 100 and 110 dollars. I was pressured into buying it when the price dropped to almost $80, so I jumped at it with some reluctance due to compatibility and performance uncertainty. What a fool I was! I have Xfinity/Comcast and have rented THEIR equipment for almost two years for $10/month. I have just agreed to another contract extension for another two years. If you want to calculate; it's an absolute no-brainer when it…

Great product for the price I paid

We had an internet speed problem for a while. The speed test showed we had no more than 50-60 Mbps, while Xfinity informed us that our internet connection had been boosted to 200 Mbps. Then one day I called Xfinity and I learned something new. My 2 year old router split the provided speed over 4 ports?! The rep then suggested I get a new one that has fewer ports on the back of the router and after some research I settled on this Netgear N600. So since we've had this router for the last 2-3…

  • I don't remember

I recently moved to a new location in Los Angeles and needed a reliable Time Warner compatible wireless cable modem and router as I work from home on my computer, do remote software setup and do a lot of network sharing meetings. Daily. While some advise you to buy a separate modem and router instead of a combo box, I decided to try this modem/router combination ("gateway") and after 2 months of use it turned out to be very fast, reliable and perfect for my needs. For those who aren't sure what

Pretty decent for router/modem combos

So this router is great for what it is. After running the speed test (100Mbps plan), we got the following results: Cable: First test: 118.2Mbps download, 5.82Mbps latency, 5ms upload, 2:113.7 Mbit/s latency, download 5.82 Mbit/s, latency 5 ms. : During thunderstorms, disconnect the coaxial cable and the power supply. If you have a surge protector, remove the coaxial cable anyway. I have a small problem with the length of the ethernet cable (3 feet). But it's okay, one at a time still only costs
