USB power may be required for proper operation.

The product works right out of the box. The HDMI signal went out after about a week. I powered it from a no-power USB hub. When I switched my computer to a powered port, it came back to life. Otherwise I am very satisfied with this product. Update (05/06/2015): Monitor colors have recently slipped towards a yellow cast. It got bad enough to launch an investigation. It turned out that the VGA cable was a bit loose (I didn't use screws to attach the connector to the adapter). After firmly…

The product worked for me.

The product suits me. I have an old netbook that I used to stream movies in the bedroom. The first television it was connected to had a VGA connector. When I replaced the TV, I couldn't stop thinking about the netbook. When I tried to connect my computer, I found that I didn't have any VGA ports. I bought this item and was able to use one of the free HDMI ports. The connection lasted only a few seconds. I power the device from the netbook's USB port using the cable that came with it. Not…

VGA HDMI SOLUTION

As advertised. This is a cheap and easy solution. I've moved and now live in a small space, so now I use the TV in my bedroom as a computer monitor as well. One of my desktop is VGA but my TV is a new smart TV that doesn't support VGA only HDMI. I didn't want to change the graphics card so I tried that and it works. For video or surveillance: USB mic to device and other end to computer standard USB port, VGA from computer to device and HDMI cable to device, other end to TV. It has an audio…

  • Decent performance

  • Available in white only

Works great, exactly what I wanted!

Worked great on first try connecting my Lenovo ThinkPad 420s (1600x900) VGA to a 32" Vizio 1080p TV; Powered by USB from a laptop. The laptop screen immediately appeared on the TV screen (in the best color, I must say) with no adjustments. In the Win 7 Pro control panel, the second screen is called "VGA to HDMI" and the desktop can be extended to it. projector or screen surface. I expect to save many trees by not printing out copies of presentations and budget documents for everyone involved…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Exactly what I was looking for

This item is the golden treasure of the Super Search & Hunt I took part in. The TV had an HDMI port. The laptop had a VGA port. This item can do what I wanted after a long hunt. Show your laptop screen on a big screen TV (with the added benefit of sound). Make sure you have a USB port on your TV to power the small box/converter shown in the main image. If not, you can improvise and use a plug, but it must be very close or with an extension cord. Most televisions have a USB port in addition to…

VGA to HDMI conversion method.

This unit works for me and was a good replacement for my previous VGA HDMI box. I use the device to display my work laptop on my home monitor when working remotely as the monitor only has HDMI and DVI inputs. Since I sometimes work a lot at home, I often use it every day. In terms of performance, the image quality seems pretty good, but I'm having trouble connecting the device to my laptop for the first time. Usually when I plug it in and plug the VGA cable into my laptop, my monitor doesn't…

  • One year trial

  • I really don't like it, everything is fine

Great converter but you will need it. . .

I bought this to convert my old laptop into my old (but still HD) TV screen - it's cheaper than buying a new laptop after all. I have to say it works wonderfully. I don't remember it saying "Not for Windows 10" when I got it. However, I got Windows 10 through a free upgrade and it still works surprisingly well with it! When I connected the serial cable, my laptop recognized the second screen and started duplicating. From there, all I had to do was set up the second screen the way I wanted it…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled

Excellent VGA to HDMI Adapter

Since most flat screen TVs currently available no longer have VGA inputs for computers, you will need to use the HDMI input to pass this signal to your TV and if your computer does not have an HDMI output you will need an adapter for it Type. Unless you want to buy a new computer. This is the best of the two VGA to HDMI adapters I bought in December. Now that it has been in use for the past three months I can report that it is working flawlessly and reliably. I tried a model with a built in VGA

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Expensive
