When we start to learn about cryptocurrencies, the first we hear is the Bitcoin, then is Ethereum. Ethereum is the top 2 crypto and the top 1 altcoin. The developing process of Ethereum took a long term. The presale of it was just for couple of dollars, but now its price is more than 4k USD.
Ethereum was founded by Vitalik Buterin when he was just 17 years old. He has 2 Ethereum wallets and he became a billionaire HODL-ing his ethereums.
Ethereum is a decentralized blokchain with smart contracts. Its protocol named ERC-20 was used for a long time as a main in crypto industry. But problems started when its fees became very expensive, in some order you should pay 30-40$ just for confirming transaction, compared with Binance Smart Chain it is just 0.5$. So the Ethereum blockchain is old enough, and for years team promise to customers that new version 2.0 will be announced but each time they postponed it.
According that most of new projects are listing on other blockchains and Ethereum lose their customers.
As soon as version 2.0 will be realized the price will fly to the moon.
