Review on πŸ’» Legrand Home Office & Theater Network Interface Module 8 Port AC1058 - Cat 5e Solution by Scott Rao

Really helps organize network cabling

Great product! It fits well in Legrand's multimedia case. It's a little tricky to knit, but no harder than any other punch block. The only thing to note if you follow the color coding on the punch block, this is associated with the TIA568A standard which is more used in Europe. In the USA, the TIA568B standard is more commonly used. It would be good to read about it in the documentation or maybe print it on a punch pad. The solution is to simply swap the green and orange pairs. That's good, but I'd like to know beforehand. Other than that, it's a really great piece of hardware. I have a small 8 port switch (TP-Link TL-SG108) and 10 packs of 6" Cat5e cables. All this fits perfectly in Legrand's 9-inch case. I read a review that said the 110 is hard to punch through because the back of the case is made of thin plastic. I wouldn't call it flimsy - it's perfectly adequate, but the claim is fair nonetheless. I just put a 2x4 behind the fuselage and it's beating great. Of course, this won't work for everyone, but in my unfinished basement it was a good decision. All in all this is a great product. If you've ever attempted to manually connect an RJ45 plug, you know the punch block fee is well worth the money. All cables are neatly knotted in the case and everything works great!
