2 problems solved for me. 1st - I was able to convert my very weak headlights to LEDs. 2. - My high beam switch was not working properly. My headlights just went out completely, and the low beam didn't come on either. Now my high beam switch works as expected, I have high beam, I have no idea how it affected the switch and yes my old headlights worked properly. I don't have a blue light on the dash but there is a high beam. Anyway, this little kit was very easy to install, quick and works great. I am very happy that I bought it. Before buying I read reviews about it and they were all positive so I bought it and I have no regrets. This is a 1988 Toyota SR5 4WD long cab pickup truck with a 3VZ engine for those wondering.
