It was easy to install except the existing peep hole was too small and had to be drilled. Night vision doesn't work, but day shots are clear. It doesn't look like a doorbell, and the peephole isn't where people would expect a doorbell to be, so no one knows what it is. I put a little sign that said RING THE BELL right under the doorbell but I don't want that! My door is not in the same room as me and I swear to you this is the only way to hear that call! The front door is in a small hallway. The volume is high and unless we are three meters away we cannot hear them. Too bad - the doorbell is useless if we still need people knocking on the door. Don't buy it unless (1) you only need it for watching videos and (2) your house is completely silent all the time and it's very close to the door where it's playing (no TV or music , nobody is speaking) and no noisy fans etc.). So disappointing!
