I read so many reviews and compared Merv's numbers that I thought I had one good decision made. However, it is too tight and does not let the air filter through. As a result, practically no air escapes from the registers. I wanted to clean the air ducts thinking that was the problem. I then called an oven specialist to find out how much it would cost to remove the A/C coil etc so the air duct cleaner could get to the source and clean the air ducts. He checked my oven, took out the filter to see what would happen and there was a lot more air. So he bought me a new filter that filters the air but still lets air through. I saved over $1000 between his fee and the sewer cleaning fee. The filters I bought from Revain were well made - no problems. They just don't fit my situation.
