This leather punch has been in my shoe shop for over a year and I couldn't be happier. The last hit I received was at a shoe store in my town, and the handle collapsed fairly early on while squeezing. The U-shaped metal bent and warped, so I forged it and kept using it. It was very important to me that the frame of my next one was very strong and the General did not disappoint. I also like shrink gum. Pencils. You will not accidentally slip or break. I wish the hole was a size smaller and since there's no ratchet you have to press hard, but the die seems sharp and I've had no problems. The riveted center pin is the only thing that looks sloppy - it's not flush and the head looks like a nail head that's been hit a few times. I recommend!
