Review on Enhance Air Quality with GeneralAire 4001 12758 Replacement Filter by Daniel Evans

I have bought 4 of these devices in the last month or two. The first one I bought thought I was ripped off for mishandling so I bought a few more to try and install thinking I was the problem. IT DID NOT HAPPEN! The next three broke just as easily. I've used them before (when it was the blue box) and they didn't tear that easily or at all, really. It was enough just to press the creases to break them. There are also these two pieces of paper or paper-like ribbon attached to the filter pleats. If you remove them, the filter will break because they are stuck with hot glue or something. If you then leave them on, the filter will still break when the filter harmonica is aimed against the filter housing because those bands will just loosen themselves. I don't know what happened between that and a few years ago, but back then it wasn't a problem. I advise everyone to avoid these filters and I want my money back. EDIT: Contacted the seller and they handled the situation professionally. The seller would have given 5 stars but this rating is for a product they don't make.
